I guess that in almost every game when it's played competitively, the variance of the weapons isn't too big. I've been watching a couple of cod4 matches from the ESL, the players were some of the best in germany, and they only used both AKs, the m40 sniper and the deagle as secondary. sometimes you'd see an R700 or an m4 shotgun, but these are rare. I dont think that's wrong for competitive gaming, since even if you're more skilled than your opponents, you dont want that disadvantage, do you?
