  • Im welding buts evry day in every position god yesterday i was welding a but on the incline on the overhead it was lots of fun .....the secret is to carrly a t plate with you and MAKE SURE your juice is set JUST RIGHT before you arc up also make sure YOUR COMFPRTABLE im really hitting form lately NO REPAIRS !!!

  • ive been multi coded the flux core is very fast but the fumes are hardcore its recommended that you get an air fed hood if your welding full pen 12 hours a day 7 days a week you need to think of your lungs = THIS STUFF WILL KILL YOU !!!! saying that you can make £900 to £1000 a week in Aberdeen in an oil related fab shop many firms test you before you start its real busy GOOD LUCK

  • wow that is one protheic weld my first time with flux core was 1000 times better then and i recently got 6G ceritified

  • those welds were shit i could weld better with my eyes closed ....... and get a better helmet

  • Respect for the lady teaching this man how to weld haha. Makes me proud for I am a female welder too ;)

  • its easier to learn with an auto drakening hood

  • I need a girl to teach me how to weld

    I'm single an willing to learn : ^ )

  • She's Hot.

  • like big welding masters... learning with practice!

  • masters are just beginers like"......" learning of each others"

  • thats a funny looking kitchen

  • 1) turn your auto shield down to 9 or 10 shader 2) when you doing a joint eather t fillelet lap or conoer aim in the middle of the cornor. your not shore let the weld pool behind and at the sides build up and then move down slowly = better profile your wire speed is two high on 2 mm plate good first time oh it doesnt matter on what metal you weld if cold rollled hot heat treated etc its all about the v amps wire thats all im welding at the new work at 320 v wire speed 4 on a murex warter cool

  • WOW you butchered that thing man maybe you should try somthing else like knitting haha

  • practice makes perfect he will get it

  • the video is excellent. However, like, uhm, maybe, uhm, your vocab, vocab, vocabilation? like, whatever, could be beter. And I'm teasing, no way I could do a better vid. I appreciate this. Thank you.

  • Just terrible. "One inch stick out"!! it should be 3/8th - 1/2 inch at the most. That's why your welds have some much cold lap. Do everyone who's trying to learn how to weld a favour and remove this video. Cause not one part of it is "really awesome"

  • bad position to weld........ if u are right handed weld 4rm left to right and get in front of the plate (tip for beginners)

  • That's flux core? looks like mig.

  • @Derouin91 there is flux core for mig as well in both gas and non-gas wire. Of course there is also solid core for use with shielding gas.

  • @mta415 That doesn't make any sense, Flux core wire wouldn't be called Mig. There's tubular wire(flux) and then there's solid wire(mig).

  • @Derouin91 tell you what, get up out of the chair and go to your local welding supply store and ask for flux cored MIG wire and he will respond with "non-gas or shielded?". Better yet, watch this video on Miller Welding Products Youtube channel and get back to me/us... watch?v=H9wLS1Ji4w4&feature=channel

  • @mta415 Yeah I know what flux cored self shielded and dual shielded wire are, but they aren't called mig. Mig is gas metal arc welding, with no flux. You can't say flux cored mig, that doesn't make any sense.

  • @Derouin91 ok, whatever. apparently you didn't watch the video that Miller made. and it's apparent that the largest welding equipment manufacturer don't know what they're talking about either so I will leave it at that and take a pass. Good day...

  • @mta415 I'd like to watch the video, post a link, because i don't know what to do with the gibberish(for lack of a better word) you gave me.

  • @Derouin91 type in "flux cored mig welding" in the search into the search box. click and watch the video my Miller titled FLUX CORE MIG WELDING. Maybe you will believe them. Also as I suggested earlier go talk to someone at your local welding supply and hopefully they will be able to explain it better than MILLER or I. Hopefully it won't come across to you as "gibberish", for lack of a better word...

  • @mta415 I watched the video, it's only the title that has flux cored mig welding in it. They don't mention flux core being mig welding, and they wouldn't because "flux core" and "mig" are two completely different welding processes. And I don't need to go to my local welding supply store, I'm a certified welder, I know what i'm talking about.

  • @mta415 What are you talking about? flux core is not mig, mig is metal inert gas aka gas metal arc welding. FCAW and GMAW are completely different.

  • all yall who are saying that he welding wrong apparently are stupid. if you go to a welding class they will tell you that there are many different way to weld like pushing and pulling or just moving it straight and slow or by wiggling it back and forth at whatever speed suits you a long a the weld turns out with not to much penetration or to little penetration and also have your wire speed fast or slow enough.

  • this is why our jobs are going overseas...lol I suggest both of you take welding classes at a trade tec or college and get AWS certified, unless welding is just a hobby for you then forgetaboutit

  • @filmcostar well i wouldnt mind joing you guys in the USA iv all ready got a place to sleep at but just dont know whos going to take a 2 year rookie who qualified in MMAW OR MIG OR TIG over there ???? and how much are the welding jobs any way ??????

  • @filmcostar who the fuck told youy that??? i just got a job at the first place that i walked into at 17 dollars an hour.

  • Nothing more sexy than a girl that can weld :D

  • a lil tip for all you people filming these vids, the Arc is brighter than the sun and will screw up your camera soon, grab a shade lens.

  • You never pull with a mig you always push dipshits!

  • i'm only in school right now and i only started in jan 2010 and i must say my welds are so much nicer than anyone of those. i have no idea how someone can weld flux core. it's the easiest shit there is

  • DAMN SHES GOOD

  • Safety glasses?

  • California kids I assume ?

  • i hate when peoples mics keep poping, its soo anyoing

    but nice wellding :D

  • geez...i hate when people explain something and use "like" and "um" 10 times in one sentence. Geez finish the sentence already!

  • your weve needs to be about ten times faster... keep tryin

  • "is it a little to thick?"

You can always grind it off

  • what kind of machine?

pobly not a good idea to weld right on the cement, it will explode.

  • damn girl i think youre the best looking welder i seen in my short welding careerha.. nah but you got him setup pretty good just by me hearing the machine...good job

  • YA TOTALY!!!!! She needs to smack him in the head with the chipping hammer...

  • None of those welds are ideal. Every single one is cold rolled with a lack of fusion on the bottom and under cut on the top. Those welds would never pass any sort of inspection.

  • your technical feedback seems helpful. please keep in mind he was welding for the first time. she was being supportive.

  • @lovestopsfear ...lmao hahahaha

  • @lovestopsfear Ignore the vampires. You did good. Good teacher, you had the sound right and technically it was sound. Keep welding and keep teaching and realize the dicks that attack you are just not worth your time.

  • @lovestopsfear foreal just look at his name "bigdickhead" the lady is helping is great. The bigdickhead prolly cant even strike the arc without it sticking nevermind those fools that will never get the art. Thanks for sharing.

  • @bigdickheadaz You are a fucken douche bag it is his first time welding and for something that is not structual or under a shit load of pressure there fine called postive reinforcment buddy

  • @bigdickheadaz How do you "cold roll" a weld? *chuckle* Someone is trying to pass themselves off as an expert when they dont know Jack, Jill, or even where the hill is.

FYI: Cold roll is a steel manufacturing technique. Cold Lap is when a weld does not achieve adequate fusion. There is NO WAY TO TELL whether the welds are cold lapped from this video. The welder sounds right. The only way to be sure would be to use a NDS or destructive test.

  • She was more interestsed in him than the weld.

  • Those who cant weld bitch on youtube

  • @DrunkenHippy ..hahahaha no shit ,good one

  • Does anyone now what happens to concrete when it heats up? Maybe the first thing she should show him is to use a steel welding table.

  • that's one of the first things I that I said to myself.

  • I have a older mig welder that uses gas,but can't change the polarity for flux core welding, could flux core wire still be used?

  • there is a setup that uses specific fluxcore with the gas, straight flux does penatrate deeper then any mig set up will. fluxi s a bit more messy then straight migging but you cant mig out doors with out a wind shelter set up other wise the gas gets blown away so makes it usless at that point,,

  • I think that 6010 makes the ugliest welds.

  • that shit looks dece for flux core

  • looks what?

  • dece, decent hahaha

  • lets see him run some 1/16 flux core at 28 volts

  • @wvpaintballer Let's see you stfu dumb ass.

  • shit

  • I wish when I started welding i had someone like her to teach me...my uncle was being a douche...had no paitience.

  • Your uncle wasn't babyseting she was.

  • fuck ... just give him the right position .... my mom can weld FCAW

  • I don't think this dude knows how to weld.

  • Oh, just STOP with the whole sexism thing. Everyone wants to be the "victim" these days. Stop trying to be the "hero" defending the cute girl. It's nauseating. Would you have been so quick to defend her if she had been 300 lbs, and had a jacked up grill? Delete was just making a point, regardless of the instructor's gender. Stop trying to analyze everything and just take it for what it was - a comment about lapping nd undercutting. Sheesh.

  • so you don't think a woman being called a girl is patronizing and condescending? what about a man being called a boy? have you ever been treated to that language yourself and felt disrespected--whether intentional or not?

  • No. I don't. A woman IS a "girl", and a man IS a "boy". It's all semantics. People make comments about me/my race all the time, and I just don't let it get to me. I have nothing to prove to anyone. Anyone can "talk". However, if any of those people ever put their hands on me, THEN it becomes a different story. Words, however are just that - words. He wasn't being disrespectful, and I saw absolutely nothing wrong whatever with his comment. Sorry. I believe you took it in a direction not intended.

  • haha nice!!

  • @SuperKhan06 You cant tell if he did either from this video. If you are asserting you can then you are spouting what comes out of the south end of a north bound male bovine.

  • Comment removed

  • No offence to the girl, but has she never heard of cold lapping or under cut? She keeps referring to welds presentation in a non descrptive fashion. Truth be told though, what do I care lol.

  • this was a 101 welding introduction. if she had spoken too technically it probably would have gone over our heads. i think she did a great job and demystified welding for the lot of us. also this was just a few minutes of an hours long workshop. she was out in the bitter cold for hours. i was so impressed with her at the end of the day. your comment is bordering on sexist--calling her a "girl" is disrespectful i think.

  • @lovestopsfear you think she'd prefer "guy"? lol

  • @DeleteTheWeak What is she supposed to do, toss tons of terminology at a newbie to try to impress him on how superior she was? She was teaching, not testing.

And if you are asserting those welds are cold lapped from a superficial view in a video then that would prove that you dont know JACK about welding. Only a NDS xray, ultrasound or destructive test would tell us if it is cold lapped.

*rolleyes* Vampires on the internet live off trying to hurt others.

  • @Yorzaxt So what you're saying is you cant tell if any weld hasn't penetrated without the aid of NDT ? lol. I just made an observation, I wasn't cutting her down. It would have been nice to tell the bloke where he was going wrong that's all. And technical terminology is something every welder needs to know at some point, so why hide from it? Isn't that classed as teaching. Trying to hurt others? Vampires on the internet? Someone's feeling emotional, you been watching those Twilight films today?

  • @DeleteTheWeak I dont watch those movies, no interest. An vampire is someone that gets personal pleasure off of trying to hurt others (feelings or otherwise). You are that.

As for your "lol", you apparently either know little about welding or are just a jerk not willing to admit when you are wrong. Visual appearance has NOTHING to do with strength or quality of weld. And there is no other info in this video to determine anything but visual appearance.

  • @Yorzaxt You're boring me now. I never attacked her, just made a passing comment on why was she not explaining potential weld defects to a student? Then you come along and start going on about x-raying a 2" weld on 3mm plate, and calling me a "vampire on the internet" causing destruction and pain with my hurtful unforgiving comments. I highly doubt the instructor is loosing any sleep over my comment, so stop getting all upset and wipe those tears away. I think someone needs a hug.

  • @DeleteTheWeak You get pleasure running around trying to cause misery to others. That is a vampire. Its not my fault. If you dont like it, change your behavior. And eveything I said about the video is absolutely ironclad true. If you dont understand that then either you dont weld or dont weld well.

  • @Yorzaxt There you go again with the misery thing. Do you honestly think I "run around causing misery to others" on the basis of my comment? If I called her a bitch or called the student an idiot then I would understand...but I didn't. I simply made a comment about explaining weld defects. This is the last post I'm making on this video, because you just seem a bit simple for my liking as you still don't get what I was trying to say.

    Nice talking to you ;)

  • We all have to start somewhere, I learned on aluminum TIG, back to Aluminum MIG

Now I'm really good at both. just take practice.

  • can't... stop... looking... at the light. what was that for? just practicing?
