I first heard Gags Groove on the Miles Davis album of the same name in the mid 60's. I blew me away -- literally changed my life by introducing me to a whole new world. It sounds as fresh and magical as it did half a century ago.

@slugiscool99 I'm 63 now, but when I was about 13 I started listening to jazz, Satchmo, dixieland, etc. I bypassed all the rock that my friends were listening to...it sounded to juvenile and immature. There is only good music and bad music; genres are irrelevant. Now, thanks to my sons, I even like some rock. But if like the MJQ at 13 your ears are advanced; they play some of the most complex and beautiful music ever played. The longevity proves!!!

firstly, music hasn't anything to do with age. secondly, jazz musicians have their fans just like pop stars have theirs. maybe jazz has fewer fans but that doesn't mean there are just 3..
