Boortz fans are SO SURE the FAIRTAX is the answer --but clueless about its effects. Without any research, or critical thought, they are TOTALLY sure. Fairtax "Research" has been public relation getting paid to push an idea. You should CALL up 10 hospitals, 10 nursing homes, 10 defense contractors, 10 renters, 10 new home builders. ASK them what the would do. Would they object? Would they call lobbyist or congress to get exemptions? Hell yes, parades of exemptions.

Call up ten hospitals -- ask the head of each what they will do if they have to tax all their patients 23%. Ask 10 nursing home administrators. Ask 10 presidents of defense contractors. Ask new home builders. Cause these and many more will have to charge a 23% sales tax.  Ask if they will call their congressmen or lobbyist to arrange for exemptions. No one researched this crap. No one did anything basic like find out what the people would do, if they had to pay the tax.
