  • Very nice vibrato. I'd work on the attack of the notes. You seem to attack them with quite a bit of force which causes the note to crack slightly before evening out.

  • Im guessing you (whatithink7890) that you learned that in Alexander Technique? Also, about this video, while i am taking into account that your only a 2nd year student, try creating more space inside the mouth, and don't force the air out, let your lungs/diaphragm exhale normally. This will give you a dramatic increase in tone depth and resonance. Also, as Whatithink stated, relax, you should enjoy playing the flute, and any tenseness will show in your playing. Otherwise Great job :)

  • You might want to consider releasing your neck to achieve a more free sound and more quiet breaths... Think about not "taking" breaths but allowing the air to come in - it's a natural process.

  • thats good!!

  • Sounds very good!

I'm practising but I haven't got my vibrato even up to 80 yet. Nina's video is very helpful.

  • very good vibrato!!!

  • Good progress! Sometimes you are slightly behind the metronome but otherwise very good. Now that you have it up to tempo, you can work on varying the speed and intensity in your repertoire.
