Hardcore ;) What amp do you use to push the subs? I got 2 of them as in my Audi A6 but in a closed box pushed by an Alpine PDX 1.1000 and i think that I might need a bigger amp

I know you weren't asking me.. but that pdx isn't one ohm stable.. so you're running those 2 Rs at 4 ohms... I would get a 1 ohm stable amp (alpine doesn't make one), or run each R off separate PDXs... even a PDX-1.6 will run one well...

Thats right. I'm runnig my subs at 4 ohms. Can you explain me why should I run them at 1 0hm? I'm doing everything by myself and my knowledge may not be sufficient ;) I already thought about buying another pdx but maybe it would be better to sell mine and get something else.

you can run that at 4 ohms, but that amp puts out a max of 300RMS per sub at 4 ohms. I have a differerent setup, but had the same dilemma. I have two Infinity Kappa Perfect 12s, and I couldn't find an amp that was powerful and still efficient to run the two subs at 4ohms, so I was forced to buy a 1 ohm stable amp (Rockford Fosgate P1000-1bd).. by the way, I will be glad to help you, as I am MECP certified installer, and that's my job...

@CoupeDeville23, sorry brutha, no disrespect, but that PDX amp does 1000 watts RMS into 4 ohms or 2 ohms. Look up the specs if you havent yet. I'm just sayin bro. I agree with you on finding a 1500-2000 watt 1 ohm stable amp for his R's. That's the right way to do it if he's looking for more slam, but dampning will be reduced and lower SQ somewhat to a set of discerning ears. Most would not be able to tell though.

I didn't realize @trolb4 had a different amp than the youtube video poster had. You're right, but my original post was for the person with the video who has the PDX-1.6... Yeah, @trolb4, you're fine, just keep in mind that 1000RMS is at full gain, so you're probably running at 2/3rd gain, putting about 330rms to each sub, which is fine, but the Rs can handle up to 500rms.
