If u can get inside the arc of the swing of the bat (or just about any blunt trauma weapon) it loses almost all of any effectiveness to deliver a lethal blow. It's not like in the movies. If u stab someone deep in the torso, 99 times out of a hundred, they're thru fighting. I'd take the knife any day.

think i would go with the knife, I agree with the one guy, if the bat does not connect and you can close the distance the guy with the bat is pretty exposed and i assume would have both his hands on the bat, you get one good shot in his stomach, chest or neck if not kill him then I think you would at least slow him down from blood loss especially if you knick an artery.
