so you connect your ps3 to your tv via HDMI. But where do you connect the logitech x-530 (your speakers) to? You cant connect the digital out optical to your logitech x-530. The x-530 has a green, orange and black connector. Where do i plug them in?

@MrStickandstones yep, check in the settings somewhere - if you mean just reset the video settings, turn off your ps3, then hold the power button until you hear two beeps
hey dude, please help me out. i bought a 399$ samsung led monitor to play my ps3 games. I mainly use it for my ps3. but im having some resolution and sharpness issues. it doesnt look as good as my lcd tv that isnt even full hd (the monitor IS).

@KallieSoccerGirl Try holding down the power button while it's turned off until you here it beep a few times, then turn it on. I had that problem before switching between my HDMI and normal analog, but found the answer in the PS3 manual.

@clubcrunker956 connect the cables you want to change it to and turn the console on normally. turn off the ps3 by holding down the off button on the console for more than 4 seconds or so, untill you hear the beep. once off, do the same thing to turn it on, hold down the on button on the ps3 console until it beeps. itll then set it self up for the cables that are plugged in
the bottom one (2:30) is the thing u use for ps2 its the same as the one that comes with the ps3 but its for if u already have those 3 colored holes used and u have a scart *thing in your tv

u should mention the deep colour setting that can cause some problems with old 1080p tv's. cause the technology from the tv cannot handle the quality from the playstation. deep colour dramatical increases your colour variatiy like yellow but old tv's just go fuzzy. can you plz explain this in one of ur next videos?
I selected all 3 720p 1080i 1080p and my gta 4 still plays at 720p even if it supports 1080p. I tried unselecting both 720p 1080i and gta 4 ran on 1080p why is that?
@xrevolution46 If you have all 3 selected, the PS3 will make it's own choice. Rather than upscale to 1080p on the PS3, the PS3 decided to let the TV do the work
@jonnyk429 hey i have a 32" hdtv and its 720p and i have an HDMI cable on it that supports 1080p and when i have the PS3 settings on 720p it looks good but you can see some jagged edges on the icons but when i switch it to 1080p the jaggd edges are gone and it looks much clearer and significantly better why is that? does my tv support 1080p even if it ony says 720p on the box? and do i leave it at 1080p if it looks better than 720? oh and i use my PS3 really close like 4 or 5 feet away
@jonnyk429 Hey. AV Multi / Scart is the standard scandinavian cable that comes with the ps3. It's much like the composite / s video as you described. A low quality cable option that you want to avoid, unless you have a old television like I do, or if you prefer low / poor quality. To the right, you have the scart itself, which you plug a white, red and a yellow cable into. The three slots attached to the thing itself is where you plug it in. Also, scart is a option for both sound and video.

@dragonfire1505 you need a HDMI cable, you can't just select hdmi using a normal rca (red, yellow white) cable. if you have an hdmi, make sure you have it in all the way (mine was loose and i had some trouble).
also make sure you switch your TV input to hdmi, there, youll be asked if you want to keep the setting. (if you dont reply, which is what you're probably doing, itll go back to the standard setting in 30 sec... maybe it was a minute i forgot)
@jinkyjakebaw1 quick tip of your moving around from hd to standard tvs, if you forget to change from hd when going back to your standard tv, the signal will not change back and the screen remains blank, but you can hold the power button, turn on and off twice (i think it is) the cnsole will bleep three time (once when turning on then twice just after) release the button and it will reset your video output setting, so you can select the onces for that tv

i have a 1080p tv, i got a ps3 and mostly play cod 6& 7, if i tick both 720p and 1080p would the ps3 automatically go for the best graphics e.g. mw2 supports all hd resolutions if i ticked both 720 and 1080p would it automatically go for 1080p?

I just highlighted the first 3 options, the linex autio is unchangeable on my tv. Even then there's a noticeable difference in sound quality. The HDMI seems to go faster now that i've done it. Any source on that? I don't have a surround sound by the way.

Don't put dolby digital. Because all your games will sound dolby digital even when they support dts, that is better.

its like if you were to max a games brightness and then double that. it does this every few minuts now. im wondering if switching tvs did this. it was on the tv in my room, then it was on the one in my living room for i while. i switched it back to my tv and now it does this.i didnt change any settings when i switched tvs. it never did this before!!! plzzz help. its really hard to play modern warfare now!!!!!

hey dude, please help me out. i bought a 399$ samsung led monitor to play my ps3 games. I mainly use it for my ps3. but im having some resolution and sharpness issues. it doesnt look as good as my lcd tv that isnt even full hd (the monitor IS).
please help me. i dont know how to fix it. the problem isnt with monitor. how come when i watch vids on youtube(vids of the monitor) the quality is cristal clear but mine isnt sharp and has some fucked up colours(the outlines of objects arent sharp)?

@KallieSoccerGirl Try holding down the power button while it's turned off until you here it beep a few times, then turn it on. I had that problem before switching between my HDMI and normal analog, but found the answer in the PS3 manual.

@clubcrunker956 connect the cables you want to change it to and turn the console on normally. turn off the ps3 by holding down the off button on the console for more than 4 seconds or so, untill you hear the beep. once off, do the same thing to turn it on, hold down the on button on the ps3 console until it beeps. itll then set it self up for the cables that are plugged in

u should mention the deep colour setting that can cause some problems with old 1080p tv's. cause the technology from the tv cannot handle the quality from the playstation. deep colour dramatical increases your colour variatiy like yellow but old tv's just go fuzzy. can you plz explain this in one of ur next videos?

I selected all 3 720p 1080i 1080p and my gta 4 still plays at 720p even if it supports 1080p. I tried unselecting both 720p 1080i and gta 4 ran on 1080p why is that?

@xrevolution46 If you have all 3 selected, the PS3 will make it's own choice. Rather than upscale to 1080p on the PS3, the PS3 decided to let the TV do the work

@jonnyk429 hey i have a 32" hdtv and its 720p and i have an HDMI cable on it that supports 1080p and when i have the PS3 settings on 720p it looks good but you can see some jagged edges on the icons but when i switch it to 1080p the jaggd edges are gone and it looks much clearer and significantly better why is that? does my tv support 1080p even if it ony says 720p on the box? and do i leave it at 1080p if it looks better than 720? oh and i use my PS3 really close like 4 or 5 feet away

@jonnyk429 Hey. AV Multi / Scart is the standard scandinavian cable that comes with the ps3. It's much like the composite / s video as you described. A low quality cable option that you want to avoid, unless you have a old television like I do, or if you prefer low / poor quality. To the right, you have the scart itself, which you plug a white, red and a yellow cable into. The three slots attached to the thing itself is where you plug it in. Also, scart is a option for both sound and video.

@dragonfire1505 you need a HDMI cable, you can't just select hdmi using a normal rca (red, yellow white) cable. if you have an hdmi, make sure you have it in all the way (mine was loose and i had some trouble).
also make sure you switch your TV input to hdmi, there, youll be asked if you want to keep the setting. (if you dont reply, which is what you're probably doing, itll go back to the standard setting in 30 sec... maybe it was a minute i forgot)

@jinkyjakebaw1 quick tip of your moving around from hd to standard tvs, if you forget to change from hd when going back to your standard tv, the signal will not change back and the screen remains blank, but you can hold the power button, turn on and off twice (i think it is) the cnsole will bleep three time (once when turning on then twice just after) release the button and it will reset your video output setting, so you can select the onces for that tv

i have a 1080p tv, i got a ps3 and mostly play cod 6& 7, if i tick both 720p and 1080p would the ps3 automatically go for the best graphics e.g. mw2 supports all hd resolutions if i ticked both 720 and 1080p would it automatically go for 1080p?

I just highlighted the first 3 options, the linex autio is unchangeable on my tv. Even then there's a noticeable difference in sound quality. The HDMI seems to go faster now that i've done it. Any source on that? I don't have a surround sound by the way.

Help! If I go to Video Output Settings, there shows me that Current output resolution: 576i
And i can't change it, if I select the connector the HDMI, then screen go blank and if I go to HDMI1 to my TV then it's Blank too. It wont change! I
It worked before but i removed my tv Sony Bravia and PS3 to other room and now is the problem :( I tried everything, restart, hold On/off button 5 seconds many times and still nothing. I cant change resolution too. Strange. Help please.
