  • "Damn" lol

  • "damn" haha well said

  • Id trade her a cheeseburger for em (:

  • Finds out she's a millionaire: "Damn." "I'm not sure how I feel".

  • "Damn."

  • By fahhhhhhhhhhh

  • Amazing. I saw this on a commercial and I was floored.

  • I saw one where a guy had six rhino horn carvings that he payed 5,000 for altogether, and the estimated value was 1,000,000 to 1,500,000

  • @Riggedmuffin Yes, I know. I'll be updating these videos someday. Oh, what a project these AR videos have become!

  • she said.. "damn" check out the rhino bowls from the new season, he beat her!

  • there is one that is 1000000-1500000

  • This woman has a pretty lame reaction finding out she had $1,000,000

  • @remingtoncomedy obviously you dont know the social reactions of someone being absolutely surprised by information.

  • I just hope everyone that sees this video can see the value in these items, especially the large bowl. To think, it is marked as property of the Emperor and most likely was used by him/his family at some point within the walls of the Forbidden City. Absolutely fantastic.

  • damn

  • Sell those mofo's.

  • how, can one brain hold THAT much information...?

  • @mopryIScool I'm sure it's not hard if you spend your whole life studying that kind of thing.

  • @InvaderP4nda some of the people on this show are about 25 or so...or they were on the show at that age, i mean 25 years of learning that kind of stuff? and you would have to exclude ages 1-11 or so..so yeah, im sure it takes a special type of person to memorize all that information...

  • @mopryIScool Keep in mind that this is his specialty, much like you choosing a major when you go to college. It's his job to know about these sort of items.

  • @galept yeah, doesnt make it any less amazing....

  • Father probally stole the items while he was on duty during those troubled times in China...

  • "...Damn."

  • LMAO!!! 3:11 <--- her head spins then she lands back on earth and says "Damn!", cool ass lady handles being an instant millionaire smooth

  • man, where do they get all this information from?

  • @fightcha20 Like, books and junk?

  • @Ultranothing Books? What's a book? Is that like an ipad or something??

  • @fightcha20 THE INTERNET ^_._^

  • @fightcha20 Most of the appraisers on this show have been collecting, dealing, and auctioning antiques within their specialties for decades. What they have is more than what you can find in a book, they have decades worth of real world experience.

  • Its shock! if you had an ugly piece of carved wood or whatever draged it to the roadshow to get valued thinking you might get a few hundred you would never believe a stranger telling you it worth hundreds of thousands unless they had the cash in their hand thrusting it in yours and saying "let me buy it here is 700K!"

  • "18th century....you mean the 1700s?"

    AMEN!!! :)

  • What the hell is wrong with some of these people? I would be convulsing, and crying is this happened to me!

  • @AllHailGaga I suppose some people are just more calm and rational than others?

  • @Ultranothing or they already have money, lol.

  • @AllHailGaga So, her reaction seems to indicate that perhaps she's already wealthy?

So wealthy, in fact, that even a million dollars didn't seem significant to her?

    And she's wearing that shirt?

  • @Ultranothing That's why I think there is something wrong with her, which is what I said in the firt place. =]

  • @Ultranothing shes just thinkin about the food she can buy with it thats why! Or thinkin about how to get rid of her brother... ^_._^

  • @Ultranothing I love the question mark after every sentence? it's great lol hahahahaha

  • @MrBrisbaneman1994 I'm glad you liked it? Enjoy the rest of the videos? Maybe have a great day?

  • @Ultranothing hahahaha thankyou? I love the question marks man, how long have you been doing them for? I love it?

  • Dragon Bowl Z

  • he first one they juss gv on tv -_-

  • For all of you that say this woman's response to seeing her property appraised at $700,000-$1,070,000 was inappropriate or abnormal, I have set up an appointment for you all to see the very best psychiatrist near you.

    Good day.

  • bitch you're a fucking millionaire!!! i hope her brother slapped the sense back into that woman

  • @jad3948 Could NOT agree more! Her reposeful, matured reception of the news is completely inappropriate! Where is the vulgarity and the violence which drives the attention-spans of today's mindless masses?

  • @Ultranothing lol reposeful?? i would say her reaction was more indifferent (possibly a side-effect of her antipsychotic medication?). i even sensed a little disappointment while she heard the prices, realizing her brother would want to sell "their" collection

either way, i'd suggest her brother use all the proper and necessary safety precautions when making their "decision"

  • @jad3948 Well I would say that it's probably unfair to judge the words or actions of a person who has suddenly found themselves staring down the barrel of a dozen television cameras and surrounded by hundreds of people while she discovers that she's potentially become a millionaire.

That's just how I see it. Of course, it doesn't negate the fact that she DOES seem rather underwhelmed by the news. But who knows how she might have reacted is she wasn't so nervous.

  • Be more excited?

  • Lucky cunt

  • So.. umm your saying that Buddha in my living room that has been sitting there for 5 years must be worth Millions? O.o

  • i would have passed the hell out LOL

  • these pieces should be in a museum, not in the hands of ambitious people

  • @castor2356 Where they SHOULD be isn't a question, but we must let property rights and the market decide where things are and for what reasons.

  • @Ultranothing "Property rights," eh? Cultural patrimony is often traded away from subaltern to colonialist in arm's-length transactions, would you say?

  • @EwoktheMoid Only to the extent that one's heritage is defined by things tangible.

  • @Ultranothing Ha. Yeah, and they probably wouldn't have known how to take care of them anyway, right?

  • @EwoktheMoid Who said that? What we do know, in the case of this 1st phase Ute Navajo textile, is that is WAS taken care of. Quite well, in fact.

And you can rest easy knowing that, through the aforementioned property rights and free-market trade, this blanket now resides in a museum, where it can be respected and appreciated by all.

  • I would love to smash all of these things.

  • @frrrrrunkis -What an asshole...

  • this caavin hea....

  • Her siblings are probably kicking themselves right now. Sure sis, you take dad's jade collection and I'll take his Toyota. Deal?

  • She sounds as enthusiastic as microsoft sam.

  • Wonderful!

  • damn

  • I wanted her to go scream or go crazy. She must have already had an idea of their worth because people with far less valuable items go much crazier when their items are appraised.

  • She just found out she's a millionaire, yet somehow antiques roadshow consistently manages to be boring.

  • IF, again, IF you can find a buyer. Don't get too excited until then.

We had an item appraised at $45,000 on the Roadshow. The best we could do when we tried to sell it in the U.S. was $12,500.

  • they were items her father gave her, maybe they remind her of her father who she loved she probley shocked on the value, her love for her father is worth more than money, maybe she already has a decent life, my grandfather gave me a gold watch he got from his work, and im not well off in the least but i'll never sell it because it reminds me of him

  • Worst. Reaction. Ever.

Dude. You've just been told you have a million dollars sitting on that table. Can't you muster up something that even resembles excitement?

  • Comment removed

  • Best reaction ever on Roadshow...."Damn."

  • This hicks thinkin bout getting a double wide now!

  • I have this train set called the American Flyer from the 1940's-1950's. My grandfather, who died 2 days after I was born, bought this set in around 1958 for a birthday present for my uncle at about $350. It was handed down to my dad, who had forgotten to take it with him when he moved out in 1981. My grandfather took the set and decided to garage sell it for $350. He (thankfully) sold it to an elder train collector. Now dad got the set back for about $600. We had looked up the price of one .....

  • .....train (the caboose I think) and the retail price of that is $1100. The whole set (even the fully functional micro record player) together is worth $56,000-$80,000; that is what the man at the Allen County antiques roadshow said at the fairgrounds.

  • @goober239 I have no intentions of selling it though.

  • "dayummm" she had me rollin with that comment

  • some chinese carved rhino horn teacups were recently announced the highest appraisal ever so your gonna have to change the title of your videos =)

  • "your collection is worth over $1 million"

"oh thats nice. doesnt really change my life but its nice."

    what an ungrateful bitch

  • DAM!!!

  • Watching Antiques Roadshow just to see what stuff gets appraised for is like playing a video game only for the achievements. You're doing it wrong.

  • If those were MY jade pieces, I would've had a stroke.

  • her reaction at @ 2:43 is priceless, hope the family decided to keep some. thanks for posting the part from 3:43, which I don't remember airing on the show.... one of my favorite all time ARS moments!

  • annnnnnnd it's made in china. XDXD looks like America's stuck on awesome chinese shit for the rest of its life.

  • @JapanAzn If you're equating these pieces with plastic junk sold at Wal-Mart, I'll have to dismiss your point.

  • Sick tags bro...

  • @ranatungadkr yea hahahah views much?

  • ddddddaaaaammmmmnnnn

  • Good grief! I hope her house is secure after this! She'd be better putting them in a vault for safe keeping. Her response was very understated...

    CRY WOMAN, CRY!!!

  • @Problembeing She's old enough to know better...

  • @Ultranothing I don't know... I know plenty of stupid old people :P

  • @Ultranothing Seems we´re the only Beatles-fans here....

  • @Problembeing She did, you just missed it. Go back to 3:14, when she says Damn. It's there minus the histrionics.

  • I would have shat a brick

  • The appraising dude, is that funky accent any region of America in particular? Or does he just talk a bit funny?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @metalmidget89 It's one of the Massachusetts accents. His is a bit unusual though. Sounds like he has moved around throughout his life and picked up bits and pieces from different regions.

  • Lmao at tags xD

  • What a pathetic response to the appraisal

  • She seemed somewhat underwhelmed...

  • I wish they had interviewed the appraiser, too. I would like to have heard his take on it.

  • how much did it cost? (my audio lags)

  • @gudenruben when he originally bought it, no more than $100 per piece

  • @gudenruben $710,000-$1,070,000

  • Damn

  • It's funny how these average folks cannot even comprehend it when the expert tells them the value. It's like they can't even count that high.

  • @Doggieman1111 Yeah, well shock will do that to a person.... My parents have a few large pieces of furniture, purchased by my paternal great-grandparents, which are well over 100 years old. I've seen them practically every day of my life and can GUARANTEE I would have a similar reaction if they turned out to be worth that kind of money. Obviously they're stunning pieces...but I'm prrrrretttttty confident most people wouldn't automatically think "game-changer" just by looking at them.

  • this woman and husband are the neighbors of my sister's husband's parents. really cool :)

  • @SailorVVV Really? That's awesome. See if they'll lend me ten grand, wouldja? :)

  • i love antiuqe furniture and stuff :))))

  • Uhh mah gush.

  • I would sell all that stuff in A SECOND

  • I'M RICH BIATCH!

  • @UserNamei5 Hu cares what it is, it could be a mummified china man dump, if its worth that much money she should be going berserk

  • DAMN! Lol

  • I think I'd be a BIT more excited... lol

  • Why is this woman so non- shalant?? dude you have over a millions dollars worth of chinese shit!!! Why are u not freaking out!

  • It prolly isn't worth as much as the painting at auction though, as they tend to go much higher than anything else you can sell for what people insure them as beforehand.

  • Cahhving...

  • I guess she would be getting a new shirt!!!

  • @AGL23 Lol, my mom said "now she can afford a new haircut!" ;)

    Just kidding, she's cute.

  • When I first saw that it was Jade I was like she hit the jackpot!

  • $1,070,000. "Damn."

  • Lol, what up wit the tags?

  • I'd be CRYING I'd be sooo happy and in shock.. she is odd, just quiet and like "oh wow". lol

  • "damn" is right!

  • Totally sell it!!!

  • *sigh* if I were her I wouldnt let million dollar antiques given my my father from the 18th centuries to be sold.I would honour them and just buy a nice wooden case to display them :)

  • and the one piece is hand carved imperial solid jade.. so yea, major money

  • 3:12

  • Was she robbed leaving the joint???

  • now if that jade was pure white in tone, then your talking BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG MONEY lol

  • @jimbob202019 Yes, unfortunately it only made it to the BIG BIG BIG BIG category....White Jade, one extra BIG.

  • Let me have her full name and address, swap bodily fluids for all her jades in exchange.

  • I would be calling Sotheby's the minute the interview was over :)

  • FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! WHY NOT ME???!!!!

  • I was hoping they all broke at the end

  • i'd say.. "i didnt know i was a fukin millionaire"

  • "Damn." That reaction was priceless.

  • i wouls have shit a fuckin brick.....damn lucky ass

  • I told my mom about this vid,and I asked her what she would do if she were in that woman's shoes. She said,"get my heart medication!" LOL

  • so your antiques are worth a million dollars and she says in an unemotional, drab way, "oh my gosh."

  • @iluvtiesto503 it's called shock.part of her brain short circuited.not everyone acts like a spastic game show contestant.'though i'm sure that later on she partied like it was 1999

  • @iggy082 shut up! you're boring me.

  • @iluvtiesto503 seriously?you're still listening to tiesto and I'M the boring one?? lol trance died ten years ago you stupid idiot! the only ones still listening to that crap are drug addicts and inbred circus freaks!lol!

  • @iggy082 yup smokin a fatty and lovin every second of it. {yawwwn}...you're still boring me. let me listen to some techno and perk things up a bit. iggy inta sharmoot.

  • @iluvtiesto503 yup, that's the only way to tolerate listening to that garbage!lol! hahaha tiesto! what an idiot! XD

  • gayest vid ever no effence????

  • @OfficialMonkeyGods No "effence" taken, ya illiterate bastard!

  • @Ultranothing hahahhahahaha

  • @OfficialMonkeyGods ...??? Why is it gay? Are you normal?

  • @ashmyhole you won't be jumping of joy --à la tom cruise-- if two of the most valuable pieces aren't your property..

  • Could have hoped she would react a little more excited! My god she was like "wow" is a very monotone voice with a sense that she did not care.

  • dude, it's JADE made for the emporer, thousands of years old, fucking douche!

  • @deadbydong pay attention, they were all circa 17-1800's

  • this show should be called "this ugly piece of crap is worth?!!! wtf?!!"

  • From what I saw and heard from the video, her reaction--as many of you have pointed out--is a mixture of amazement, appreciation, awe, and most of all, sadness. She seemed torn--she loves many of these pieces, which are only going to continue climbing in value (which she could pass on to her children). Heirlooms are important. They remind you where you come from and what they've gotten you. Plus, they can always be a safety net. And her brother wants to sell all of them. Feud FTL.

  • not to mention what it's going to do to her living overhead! @dcpassarell

She's probably had to sell some just to cover security and insurance rates.

At least on the up side, if she parts with one, she'll have enough money to have affordable duplicates made of the one's it would be too hard to hold on to or keep out of a vault.

  • @Ultranothing Ya know, guys, I'm the one who wrote this :D

  • her reaction sux, i would be freakin the fuck out

  • hope her brother doesn't watch the Antiques Roadshow...

  • "damn"? man.. you must be really rich, if after finding out you own smoething worth 1,000 000 dollars all you say is "damns" O_o

  • Oh my Gawsh!

  • @jimmyPain2121 "if i didn't know it was so valuable id feel ripped off if someone gave it to me for free"

Dude, it's hand-carved SOLID JADE. It's no-ones fault but your own that you can't appreciate anything but beer and Axe body sprays.

  • @Ultranothing LMAO well put

  • @Ultranothing right on man, the cultural aspect alone is amazing. MAybe if it was a jade sculpture of a nascar car JimmyPain would appreciate it.

  • @Ultranothing haha i love you

  • @Ultranothing "beer and Axe body spray" LMFAO @ Italian guido reference

  • @jimmyPain2121 your a tit

  • They both sound like Family Guy characters.

  • 3:16 "DAMN"

  • There goes a long and nice family feud for sure.

  • @Heusdur Not likely, now that it has been appraised, and on TV no less, assuming shes a run of the mill person and family, there is likely no way she can keep and insure them, short of a bank vault.

  • @ashmyhole You were expecting a fireworks show?

  • wow. really???

  • Back when I was 10 I used to go into the house of this old woman on our street & steal bits of her stuff- she was totally demented & never noticed -no-one believed anything she said anyway. She died when I was 14.

A few years later at University & decided to have her jewellery that I still had valued- turned out it was rare antique stuff worth over £50k! I thought about giving it to charity, but used it to fund a superb student lifestyle instead- 3 yrs of drink, drugs& posh student girls!

  • @SuperTruth77 How noble!
