The 6.38 > 6.35 method worked great on the PSP 3001 (09g module) that I bought for my nephew today. It came new from Gamestop at 6.37 OFW, I had to upgrade to 6.38 OFW for this method. However, I didn't get the warning message about flash1 being corrupt (9:13 - 9:34), any idea why?

yes and no. yes u can downgrade but you can only go as low as 6.35 but not 6.20

no. 07g + modules can only go as low as 6.35 because when that hardware came out, 6.20 wasnt around.
