It's strange that I'm a huge Tom Waits fan and a huge Ryan Ross fan, and that Ross got a tattoo based on these lyrics. I guess he has good taste in music too

Ex-guitarist of Panic! at the disco and know lead singer of The Young Veins.

He has a tattoo on one wrist that says "Mad as a hatter" and "thin as a dime" on the other. Plus he's super hot!

Like SO many other people commenting, I too am guilty of searching this because the tattoo Ryan Ross got on his wrists.

(I looked it up a while ago, but felt like joining this confession-fest)

But hey, I got into a musician I had heard the name of but never really heard before, and now I dig him quite a bit.

I'd hope people would understand most of us still appreciate the music for what it is, and not assume we just like it because of that tattoo.

(I think it's perfect for him by the way)

ok so i am guilty of looking up this song because it is on ryan ross wrists. but i must say its not my favorite song in the whole world but i wouldnt mind listening to it again. i actually thougt the mad as a hatter part came from alice's adventures in wonderland, but i guess not.

yeah that kinda bums me out.

i love panic at the disco though,

my experience with the tattoo was kind of reversed

when i saw ryan's tattoos i was like

'dude no way! tom waits!!'

kind of made my day.

so it works out both ways, really. which is nice...

you all only love "mad as a hatter, thin as a dime" because of ryan. I knew the song before and i like it anyway, no matter if ryan has got a "mad as a hatter, thin as a dime"-tattoo ( but it's still really beautiful, i 've seen it on a concert^^)

tom waits has done a lot of amazing work, in regards to his lyrics. and even music (of course!) but this is one of his more elaborate lyrical works. i love the animation!
