I honestly think when he scored 68 seconds into the game on his first shift in the Pens first playoff game this year, he set the tone for the whole club that has carried them thru the post season to the finals.

Leading by example...the old master showing the young guns what the playoffs are all about.

That alone makes him well worth the roster spot.

He was acquired mid-season and everyone was kind of surprised he came to Pittsburgh as other teams were hoping to land him too.

When he arrived people that knew him were ecstatic. And Pittsburghers love the no nonsense guys that carry a lunch pail to work anyhow. The legend that is Gary Roberts today in Pittsburgh just naturally grew quickly because of his grittiness.
