when ppl invade u there ur level u online to conect and help u have to be the around the same level if ppl inaved u also around the same level and i love the online
The online play is simple. As a blue phantom, you help another player while you don't have anything to lose. If you help them beat their boss, then you revive, allowing you to return to body form, giving you the ability to have blue phantoms help you in your world and removing the handicap from your health bar. If you want to revive without going through an entire level, you can invade somebody's game and kill them.
Of course it's not I could have told you that. However I am trying to get the proper equipment to record my own gameplay, it's just not a top priority.
The long answer: There are enemies that can 1-shot kill you (Although I picked a mage, so could be because of lower defense.) This game will punch you in the nuts repetitively.
Well it's a rogue like, it's so it will make you try to learn from your mistakes. Sorta like the first prince of persia. I can't wait for it to come out in america. ^_^
The first level is to an extent but it teaches you how to play, eventually you learn. And it's very enjoyable. The game looks and sounds epic in every sense of the word. Picture having to run across a battlement with spear guards and crossbowman attacking you while a gian red dragon flies in and burns everyone, you have to try to get through the guards before the dragon scorches you, or you will loose 90% life(or all) you do it and roll at the end look back and everyone is dead and burnt. epic!
Well, like any RPG you can build your skills. It would be pretty hard to hit them in the back but a 1 hit-kill against another person in general would be tough as well.
You would have to be a high level while your opponent would be a noob, though I never tried it myself.
yes you can backstab and if a an ememy rushes you and you block with the right timing and then counter you can thrust your sword through their chest and a fountain of blood will come out. It changes with what weapon your using, a mace will bash a head in etc.. every weapon (and there are 100s of different weapons/armors/rings/etc..)feel different and fight differnt. There are a so much more depth in this game than oblivion for fighting the stat system crafting, etc.. The game rocks!!!!!!
umm is demon souls completely free roam like oblivion or is it kinda like devil may cry that its stage after stage of non stop fighting and you only get a break when you need to buy items or something? plz reply back: ( and how much memory space does it take up too?
No it is free roaming to an extent. After you beat 1-1 and kill phillanx which is a gaint slime with a sheild and soots spears at you, and has loads of smaller slims multiplied around him (small as in 2x your size for the smaller ones..lol) you return to the nexus hub and can go to any of the 5 worlds, each is different atmosphere, eneimies and bosses, each has 4 sub levels that are long, there is no restriction on which one you go to. You can go back to earlier levels for many things &newgame+
Great question. From what I understand the version that I have is the Chinese-English version and is in 100% English. English voice-actors, text, and trophies.
Saved files do no transfer which means if I bought the American version, I would have to start a new guy. Also I think the American version may have PS Home support. I say this because I've seen JP Home and they have Demon's Souls clothes.
Plus Demon's Souls is a worldwide server which is how I play online.
Actually my last sentence was wrong, apparently the server that I'm on is going to be separate from the US server, apparently to give it a clean slate according to the Playstation Blog.
Make sure you get the Korean/Chinese Asian version as opposed to the Japanese version as the Japanese version is only in Japanese whereas the Asian versions come in English too, depending on what language your console is set to.

don't let people dog you for using other people for gameplay. Great review .

Thanks. I never understood the purpose of recording my gameplay.
IMO it doesn't make any difference what gameplay I use as long as it's the game that I'm reviewing.

It's kind of like Devil May Cry. You go from stage to stage, but each stage itself is bigger and there's more to explore.
Each stage won't be non-stop fighting, you'll find NPC's to buy items from, and hazardous environments. It's kind of like Phantasy Star Portable.
I have no idea how much space the game takes. (I could look on my PS3 but I'm lazy.)
