First off the referees are not allowed to go against any particullar team because if they did they would get fired and they wouldn't be on the ice calling games so that isn't the case. Second when you see the initial play when the goalie shoveled it out at the end it looked like part of his glove is sitting on the goal line so you can't say goal because you don't know where under the glove the puck is it could be in or it can be sitting on the line and the puck has to cross completely.

It's no goal because the ref originally said no goal and in order to get the call reversed there has to be conclusive evidence that the puck went in the net and in all those replays you can't tell where that puck is.

Its the referee on the ice who rules it goal or not. Only after conclusive evidence the puck crossed the goal line. The call can be reversed. That means the puck MUST be visible crosses completely over the line. BTW: On penalty shots and shootouts, if the pucks forward motion is stopped on the attempt, no rebounds like in soccer.

Am I the only one that thinks that there should have NEVER been a penalty shot in the first place? When Stamkos was on the breakaway the defenseman hit the PUCK first before knocking Stamkos down. You can clearly see him knock Stamkos' stick resulting in the pick being knocked away puck away.

I saw it. NO GOAL!! It was on his sleeve, not in the glove. So the refs made a good call.

Well, in all fairness, you can't be 100% sure if it's in the net or not. And when you can't do that, you can't call it a goal. That's the rule.

The puck goes into Lehtonen's glove while his whole glove is behind the line, and yet it's not a goal because the refs literally can't see it? Wow. I guess they use quantum physics to determine goal validity. I bet NHL refs have a great time at magic shows. Where is the bunny? Is it in the hat?! No! It's in the back of the net.

After rewatching the vid its really funny to see a fan mainly a fan of a crap team get mad so much over a goal and saying the refs ruined there season because they didn't get this one call there way lol.... ok, if u watch a few tampa bay games, the refs are trying to KILL the lighting. im a fan of tampa, and i watch all of their games (i got the centre ice pack) and so i would no how many times a ref tried to make tampa lose.
