Avatar makes great Cabs..and I mean GREAt Awsome ECt.. Even better than Orange /MarShaLL Cabs now.. BBBBut the 18 watt head is a little too pricey... It is sweet butt bang for buck Krank got ya beat Rev Jr pro 600 retail??? Just saying
@MrRandy1971 I think you're making a bit of an "apples to oranges" comparison here. The Krank Rev Pro Jr is a PCB amp... not hand-wired, and tone-wise it has almost nothing in common with the Avatar 18. Yeah they're both guitar amps but the similarities end there :)
You sir are playing through a delicious sounding, beautiful piece of art. I know anyone who has anything to do with bringing these things to life, must be very proud.
I'm an Avatar-using Bassist who loves his 2x10/2x12 setup and wants to add on an additional 2x10 for a makeshift 4x10 in the near future… but first actually selling off my current cabinets for new Line-X coated versions! (as we have extremely sheddy cats who go to Carpet like crazy) but if I were anything more than a hack guitarist who plays for songwriting purposes as well as to "Rock Out" I'd be picking this up faster than *you* can say "Hello, Avatar Speakers?" when you "pick up".
Just bought the 18w head in blonde tolex. Love the sound. Playing it through 2 10" Scumback 10M75 30 watt speakers in an open back cabinet. Finally, a classic sounding, hand-wired amp at a reasonable price.
Awesome guys.. I own a few of your cabs and love them. Get complements all the time on my tone. I love that I have a 2x12 for what ever mood I am in. Congrats on this amp. It sounds lovely. I love and support company's like yours. Keep up the good work and keep rocking
Why is it that every amp video is always like this? How about instead of noodling for 8 minutes you show some diversity in play styles, and maybe I don't know, put some rhythm sections in. Heaven forbid a rhythm guitarist wants to buy this amp, they have to purchase it to even hear what it sounds like with some strumming.
Pretty sweet you guys are building an amp now. Still loving the heck out of my Helltone's in my Marshall cab. What a vast improvement over the stock GT-75's!
Wow! You've built my dream amp, and managed to catch the warmth of the tone in a YouTube video! I'll trade you some graphic design work for a combo version, ;-) he he he.
Bravo! Great demo guys. I've got a "chubby" for a green head and a 2X12 w/alnico blues and thus saving my pennies right now! A great value from a great American Company! Avatar rocks... & jazzes as well!
Very Nice! Truly a very mature tone, demo, style & effort!!!
Thank You Sir...

At 5:34, do both amps contain Golds? Also, 8 or 15 ohm? Thanks

These sound great. I would certainly be interested in seeing/hearing a video where they are mic'd up. Through a Les Paul in the mix too!

I recently got one of these 18w heads in orange to match my orange Avatar 212 loaded with Greenbacks.
The pure tube tone I get from this head has relegated my 212 Marshall JTM60 and 115 Peavey Delta Blues to the sidelines.
Thanks Dave for making this truly awesome tone machine!
