For New Yorkers who want to try them, St. Viateur bagels are now available (driven in daily) at Mile End deli in Brooklyn. Expensive, but pretty tasty, and everything else on the Mile End menu is freakin' phenomenal.

These are the best bagels in the world. I always have a little taste of Montreal at home in London, Ontario thanks to overnight shipping.

Kaplan's deli in Vancouver used to have bagels that were filled with something called baker's cheese. They were slightly sweet and the pastry somewhat flaky. They were unbelievably good but I can no longer find them anywhere including Kaplan's.
