Im a noob (a big one at that) and would appreciate some help getting some achievements in ODST from another noob or a halo expert, i only started playing halo because i got my x box just a couple weeks ago. Add me if you are interested.
Halo 3 ODST was awesome, the campaign was .A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Alot of fun! The multiplayer was just as Halo 3, plain awesome but with forge mode! For all those people that say it was dissapointing, well, shut up. Oh and uhh, for all those that dont understand the halo timeline Here is the correct order of the halo gaming series. 1.Halo Wars 2.Halo:Reach 3.Halo:Combat Evoled 4.Halo 2 5.Halo 3 \ > Same time as halo 3 ODST 5.Halo 3: ODST / > Same time as halo 3

@ThePatrickNetwork yes it does, the campaign was horrible, annoying back tracking to parts of the city, roaming to just one destination so you can finally get a little action, the city walking part is just not nessesary.
ODST was a rip off, something that was supposed to be a 15$ DLC if not 10$ turned into a 60$ release. (70$ for canada)

@ThePatrickNetwork yes sure the game is good for people that are new and trying to get into the series yes it would be a good opportunity, but if you a normal gamer like me who got the game when it was released or like a year later, odds are you already got all the map packs within the 3 years

@ThePatrickNetwork there is also the save bug where is says that you comepleted the levels, but you had to restart from scratch, dont know if you experienced it, but alot of others did including myself.

[continue part 2] Finally the actual product. Personally I felt robbed in a way when buying this. The map packs were clearly something that kept Halo 3 alive, but really, I don't want to buy all the maps over again. That was a huge flaw in my opinion. I would rather have just Halo ODST and Firefight for maybe like $20-40 and have the map packs (including the Mythic Map Pack 2 only in ODST). I bought the map packs on live in support for Bungie but am now forced to buy it again with no refund.
lucky me. i played the halo 3 campaign and 1 match of multiplayer. AND i didnt buy the maps since i borrowed the game from a friend. now i dont have to have a loss like you and many others. (i dont mean that in a bad way)

Sure it has the map packs and multi-player but personally I would rather pay for a retail ODST with a decent story, Firefight, and ODST Matchmaking
Great game for sure, I love that it is more Halo 1 then Halo 3. it would have also benefited if it had a Matchmaking aspect. However it does have critical flaws. The silencers are not useful in the least stealth wise, the weapons themselves are definitely great but it lacks... STEALTH. As soon as the bullet is fired you alert the brutes and they know your location immediately, leaving any stealth tactics virtually useless, the real tactic is duck, cover, and aim.
idk it was ok cuz it would have been great if there was like a matchmaking option and you need way more armour + plus the only real reason people should buy it is for the second disk for the awesome halo 3 and that is the only reason they buy it but overall its a good game
i think ODST was a great game, sum bits wernt so good... but the rest was, i didnt like firefight, if they made a like... Matchmaking Search for it, itd be a million times better.

The game isn't as cool as this guy could make it seem to be at 0:55. After like 3 days it's boring as fuck. The story has so little to do with the epic Chief and Arbiter -story and the music isn't as good. The old Halo 3 Campaign is better. As for Firefight you can only show your high score to others. It should be like in matchmaking. Exp and stuff.

I'm not saying they should be in ODST. Halo 3 Campaign is just much more epic. This campaign is just wandering in a city finding clues and getting to play as other members of the squad to make possible the ODST version of using sniper, tank, banshee, heavy weapons and killing a scarab. In Halo 3 Campaign you fight on Earth, see this huge black portal, ship fights, parasite on Earth, the Ark of all halo rings, you finish the Covenant, the Flood and destroy the Ark. Now THAT'S cool.
Exactly. To be more specific: I don't seem to have much motivation to play Firefight after the achievements because there is no any ranks to show to random players by quick searching. There also isn't enough armors. The only ones you can get are all from Campaign + Johnson that you can copy to others with a memory card. Btw about high score. You can show your high score only in a party that tells nothing because anyone can cheat with a Chopper on Legendary for 21 hours to get 10 million points.
Oh not much. It was on some Bungie's weekly update that some nolife played Firefight on Lost Platoon on Legendary alone. He got himself a Chopper and started camping in a nice spot away from all danger except Wraith shots and buggers. Chopper can shoot far pretty accurately and it obviously has unlimited ammo like other vehicles so he kept camping for 21 hours there and it's better on Solo because you can pause so he got like 10 million points. You can't do that if you wanna get to High Scores.

No you didn't actually. All they said was Halo: Reach was coming out soon and that there seemed to be no end to the Halo series. Most likely other Halo games IF they release more will be over the books and in between games like ODST.
Yeah, thats a good thing. Searching for random people in these survival game modes is FAIL. Theres a %50 chance that one person is a bastard that just shoots all of his teammates, including you, and ruins the fun. Bungie made the right decision to make that friends only, plus in firefight, its best when you play with friends you know will back you up and help you.
This video says NOTHING about a real multiplayer. That is why I asked. So it comes with that co-op..GOW2 type of multiplayer one disk1 then on disk2 has all the halo 3 online multiplayer. thanks for the info.
The second disk has all of the maps and is the full Halo 3 multiplayer. You will need this for some playlists as it is the only way to get a hold of part two of the mythic pack.
i just spent three hours 2 get the Endor achievment..... on the last wave on the round we needed to get past, and are last teammate died and we were out of lives. im so mad i cant show it.
haha we had like well over 28 life's, its was hilarious we were killing each other for like 20 minutes after we got it _________________________________

halo got pretty fuckin shitty once halo 2 came out, it was obviously multiplayer only, along with halo 3's terrible story and now ODST is nothing but mediocre. I really think they shouldve never released another game after the first halo
Matter of opinion my friend. I honestly hated Halo 2, but Halo 3 felt more....Halo-ish. The Story was odd, but easy to pick up, and with ODST out, hopefully it'll cover some gaps in the story to 3.
i think i had the same problem. but i cant remember how i fixed it, i just turn t off and went on the next day. but try looking up where your next objective would be and go there
k so i dunno if anyone had this same problem but basically i beat the mission where your in the banshee protecting ur teammates in the dropship (forget the mission name) but i accidentally skipped the ending cinematic, so i replayed it thinking it wouldnt matter, then it turns out that all of my objectives were unchecked as the rookie and i couldnt access the ending missions of the game....so basically i have to beat almost the whole game again.....anyone know a way around this?

They actually explain the new weapons abit(but left out they take the BR and others away)
And you see fotage of people shooting pistols from afar, not meleeing a pack of brutes in easy mode like others. 4/5 review, 4/5 campaign game, 5/5 firefight.

Oh not much. It was on some Bungie's weekly update that some nolife played Firefight on Lost Platoon on Legendary alone. He got himself a Chopper and started camping in a nice spot away from all danger except Wraith shots and buggers. Chopper can shoot far pretty accurately and it obviously has unlimited ammo like other vehicles so he kept camping for 21 hours there and it's better on Solo because you can pause so he got like 10 million points. You can't do that if you wanna get to High Scores.

No you didn't actually. All they said was Halo: Reach was coming out soon and that there seemed to be no end to the Halo series. Most likely other Halo games IF they release more will be over the books and in between games like ODST.

Yeah, thats a good thing. Searching for random people in these survival game modes is FAIL. Theres a %50 chance that one person is a bastard that just shoots all of his teammates, including you, and ruins the fun. Bungie made the right decision to make that friends only, plus in firefight, its best when you play with friends you know will back you up and help you.

The second disk has all of the maps and is the full Halo 3 multiplayer. You will need this for some playlists as it is the only way to get a hold of part two of the mythic pack.

Matter of opinion my friend. I honestly hated Halo 2, but Halo 3 felt more....Halo-ish. The Story was odd, but easy to pick up, and with ODST out, hopefully it'll cover some gaps in the story to 3.

k so i dunno if anyone had this same problem but basically i beat the mission where your in the banshee protecting ur teammates in the dropship (forget the mission name) but i accidentally skipped the ending cinematic, so i replayed it thinking it wouldnt matter, then it turns out that all of my objectives were unchecked as the rookie and i couldnt access the ending missions of the game....so basically i have to beat almost the whole game again.....anyone know a way around this?

This review is better then others that go with what bungie says, "No shields"*cough*Stamina*cough*
They actually explain the new weapons abit(but left out they take the BR and others away)
And you see fotage of people shooting pistols from afar, not meleeing a pack of brutes in easy mode like others. 4/5 review, 4/5 campaign game, 5/5 firefight.
