Real music: motivate you, move you and inspire you, the average Joe and Jane are just too simple minded to appreciate that. @andrevth Actually, in most occassions, Portnoy has an electric pad in which he hits to countdown. The sound of that pad is connected to the ear pieces that all the members have. In the beginning, you can see Petrucci's ear piece. At 0:15 - 0:16, you can see Portnoys electric pad on the left side under his Rack Toms. But at 4:13, the band just watches Portnoy for the downbeat. Hence the whole band watches him :)
