I think good music isnt as popular because most people just want to have a club beat instead of meaningful lyrics, music like this applys to a smaller crowd i think :/
YO! The reason that k-os isnt more popular is because there is only a small amount of people in this world that actually get his message and appreciate his music. The reason that all these bullshit "ARTISTS" get so popular is the average listener is a dumbed down retard wanting to hear the boom boom boom and dance and drink not to actually escape through music. RAWWH!
Saw this dude in concert and it was probably one of the most incredible performances ever! I was singing his songs word for word, but a majority of the crowd was just chillin. @crazyrabbits the world doesnt like the stuff that goes deep into you. They take it at face value for fear it'll change them. @crazyrabbits who cares? if k-os went mainstream he'd get watered down just like the rest of 'em. pop's a product; it needs people to market it, a market to sell it to and sales to survive. music is a lot more than that because it doesn't need all that; just a person and an audience. this guy's got 300,000, daymn. you should just celebrate what he does, not lament what he's not selling.
I'm saying that he deserves more attention (especially in the U.S.) and sales, especially when his music is, in my view, better written and more "poetic" than the crap that passes for "hip-hop" music on the charts today.
That, and more than 150 people agreed with my comment. Many people care.

@rivengle please do not put Kanye West in the same category with Soulja boy. Yes Kanye has sold out recently but his old stuff is pretty good hip hop. he brought a new style to the game
i resonate with this song because i feel like hes speaking about his quest for inner peace and regardless of how hard he tries, he can't find it and along this journey he has become obsessed and lost his joy. i dunno thats just my interpretation.
This song gave me strength in the worst of times, heard it first on college radio, My family was homeless and this song would often play as I returned home from work to the campsite we called home.
