  • GOOD SONG GAY BOY

  • Reminds me of MJ. Such a great artist. and also K-os aswell!! lol!!!

  • Have to go to the Commodore Ballroom Vancouver love K-OS :)

  • @roxyroller78 it was such a good show! he played this song last, and it was epic.

  • Listening to this in 2011

  • I thought this song would have way more views. Great song though!!!!

  • I think good music isnt as popular because most people just want to have a club beat instead of meaningful lyrics, music like this applys to a smaller crowd i think :/

  • the media now a days is unexplainable. this guy so real i cant even find him on hotnewhiphop.conn

  • 12 people need to get back into the men they used to be.

  • @SvenSvensonn they were never men to begin with

  • @MegaXxx69xxx lmao

  • Definitely one of my favorite songs of all time. Especially the ending!

  • That acoustic bit at 3:43 is beautiful

  • As soon as I heard this song, it brought back the days in my life when everyone was truly happy.. I wish those days were back.

  • 12 people just want to watch the world burn

  • good music

  • mainstream artists like young money pay for there youtube views!!!

  • wheres the second part from? another song or he did when he performed live or something?

  • @chris2chrisful It's straight from the album.

  • @chris2chrisful actually white towns song sounds like tupacs u cant c me track

  • YO! The reason that k-os isnt more popular is because there is only a small amount of people in this world that actually get his message and appreciate his music. The reason that all these bullshit "ARTISTS" get so popular is the average listener is a dumbed down retard wanting to hear the boom boom boom and dance and drink not to actually escape through music. RAWWH!

  • I'm always singing/rapping this song and his Sunday

Morning joint......this is some good music...

  • "This microphone, like an an amphetamine

Keeping me clean, speaking in dreams

So nature can intervene, just for a scene"

    now this is music

  • i prefer rock n metal to rap and shitty mainstream music. but k os and some other rappers i enjoy.

  • K - <3S

  • K-os looks like will i am. i swear

  • @MattMacAulay27 no will i am looks like k-os

  • @MattMacAulay27 will i who?

  • "so i kept on walking

    pretending i didn't see

    walked by a window

and my reflection said to me..."

    i love this part!

  • @clamantuanguyan

    YES.

It's really too bad they edit the best part out of the radio version.

  • How can u call that no Justice? In my opinion it's even better to keep it underground..

    big up k-os

    bless

  • K os now thats a man that makes good shit.

  • Saw this dude in concert and it was probably one of the most incredible performances ever! I was singing his songs word for word, but a majority of the crowd was just chillin. I was like, mannn, K-os, I hope you know you are the truth when it comes to pushing the boundaries of hip hop and MUSIC in general.

    Peace and Blessings.

  • 11 people aren't the men they used to be

  • is it just me or does this beat eerily sound simliar to the one used in white town's "your woman" from 1997....

  • @domirules28 Kind of. Your Woman seems to be a faster BPM of the basic drum beat.

  • @W4C3Y IT uses the sample from your woman.. on a faster BPM...

  • @domirules28 I think it's because both of them have a strong backbeat, in the same key and same tempo, none of which are that uncommon.

  • Wont find him on you tube...

  • Awthentik and the Fif... I didnt realize there was another Awthentik out there

  • Yall wanna listen to a good hip hop artist thats flying under the radar? Awthentik, a little taste of DC hip hop, how it should be. If you dont know about him, soon you will!!!

  • Good music. No, not G.O.O.D. music, they are DECENT. I mean GOOD music. Positive vibes, solid production, nice beats, beautiful lyrics, with a POSITIVE message. No gimmicks here. Don't need a beat with bass, don't need auto-tune, don't need catchy hooks. No gimmicks with K-Os.

  • i agree quality over quantity i hate all the new bullshit that they call rap n hip hop

  • 11 people jizzed on their pants when they heard the song so they clic wrong :S

  • @lavitineg You're neither funny nor witty. Stfu.

  • i had this album when it came up, but i was young, and didnt understand it. so i lost the album not knowing i would smartedn up and aprechiate great music and lyrics. im so happy for youtube now because without it real awesome underground music would be hard to find, or reunite with.

  • 11 people will never be the Wo/Man they used to be! :D

  • I just heard about K-Os today... but I'm floored. With just K-Os and Shad alone, Canada is definitely a force to be reckoned with in hip hop right now.

  • @ayyoitsmeagain We were killin it in the late 90's and early 2000's. Choclair, Rascalz, Brassmunk, Big black lincoln, Kardy, K-os, Maestro, Jellestone, the list goes on and on. All those guys are REAL hip hop, true beauty.

  • It's amazing how....K-Os' rap can all-the-way beat the rap of those so-call rapper ! Fuck lil wayne !

  • you got it off limewire lmao... love the endin :P

  • @AtomicEnerG Got it from the album, actually.

  • yo, K-os was one of the rappers who was interviewed for the book H OW T O RA P - The Art and Science of the Hip-Hop MC

Really great read, he drops a ton of gems and there are also over 100 other legendary MCs interviewed for the book

  • i wonder what K-os has to say on Oscar Grant??

  • awesome o song :)

  • I love the song at the end that's played on the guitar

  • This song song sounds like it sould've been on GTA: Vice city i woulda loved to be playin that game while listenin to this.

  • why does everybody diss lil wayne?????yea i now hes on some candy mainstream shit.....but w out those club bangers u kant dance at parties....da bitches love it....leave lil wayne alone...dont get me wrong ill never cop his records..lol

  • k-os is tha shit.......thaas my shit ritetheir....

  • hallucination, i agree 100%. k-os is real hip hop, lil wayne is garbage. hes has a million songs and nobody knows anything about him except he cant rap 4 shit

  • Seriously, this video gets just under 300,000 views, yet total crap like Young Money's "Bedrock" and Chris Brown's "I Can Transform Ya" get tens of millions of views? There's no justice in this world.

  • true say bro

  • @crazyrabbits

who cares :P let em listen to the crappy mainstream

  • @crazyrabbits blame it on the ignorance of the common people today and the corruption they continuously feed us

  • @crazyrabbits im do not agree with you at all , justice is made, as long as you are a lucky "one" for knowing and enjoyng this. ;) keep it real , keep it alive.

  • @crazyrabbits quality over quantity.. the people who veiw those already have a hole to climb out of, just never mind them, and be happy you understand what makes good music- good music.

  • @crazyrabbits Because people are tired of hearing Guns Gats Drugs and Slapping there ho's Or poppin bottles in D club Positive vibes with deeper meaning ..Everone bitches about how Canadian Artist don't get the same air play as US K-os Throws down with a diffrent vibe and heres a Canadian sweating him..please

  • @crazyrabbits

thing is music like this requires at least some kind of intellect to fully appreciate it, while music by artists you namedropped doesn't.

Conclusion, smart people are not in majority on this earth. :P

  • @crazyrabbits Well at least we can take satisfaction that his like to dislike ratio is about 53:1. That is way better than the songs you mentioned which are 12:1, 6:1, respectively. People recognize real music when they hear it.

Anyways, I wish everyone all the peace and love in the world.

When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

    - Jimi Hendrix

  • @crazyrabbits > I Guess people just own it Like me :-} <3 k-0s

  • @crazyrabbits Think of it this way, you get the opportunity to introduce these great tunes to the missing 12 million viewers. Spread the word.

  • @crazyrabbits wow just realized only 300,000....HOLY

  • @crazyrabbits no doubt man. fukin bullshit sellouts that talk about being real dont even know the half of it. talkin about women money and the streets while they're married with their wives living a lavish life up on a hill where they don't even hear the gunshots at night. shit man.

  • @crazyrabbits YouTube was no where as big in 2008 (when this vid was uploaded) as it is now.

Therefore, new songs that get searched frequently get more views than old songs.

  • @crazyrabbits youtube is thought to be free media, but i think someone is effing with it for sure. I dunno, thats just me. everyone has their price right?

  • @burtonchalmers I have wondered the exact same thing. Do you think youtube has been manipulating the amount of views that certain videos are allowed to receive?

  • @crazyrabbits the world doesnt like the stuff that goes deep into you. They take it at face value for fear it'll change them. Stuff like k-OS isnt played on the radio as much because majority of us are afraid of music that has a purpose beyond it's brief 5 minute replay value , but it wishes to change the world. But radio stations and MTV dont want that , they want to keep it conservative , the radical thinkers down the barrell. And the people see the blatant vids and go to search them all again

  • @crazyrabbits i wonder what the world would be like if people listened to this rather then guci and waka flakeand ter rapers who messe up rap.

if you listen he dosent say nothng about money girls or killing. what wrong ith ARE community?

  • @crazyrabbits i wonder what the world would be like if people listened to this rather then guci and waka flakeand ter rapers who messe up rap/hip-hop.

if you listen he dosent say nothng about money, girls (in a bad content) or killing. what wrong with ARE community? i see this and im only 17

  • @crazyrabbits It's a shame, but good music is usually unappreciated.

  • @W4C3Y well if you mention money, cars, and hoes over and over again, they tend to get noticed

    ......bullshit logic at work lol

  • @crazyrabbits But, at least we few can appreciate this greatness. Those tens of millions of people have no idea what they're missing.

  • @crazyrabbits who cares? if k-os went mainstream he'd get watered down just like the rest of 'em. pop's a product; it needs people to market it, a market to sell it to and sales to survive. music is a lot more than that because it doesn't need all that; just a person and an audience. this guy's got 300,000, daymn. you should just celebrate what he does, not lament what he's not selling.

  • @awesomeion

I'm saying that he deserves more attention (especially in the U.S.) and sales, especially when his music is, in my view, better written and more "poetic" than the crap that passes for "hip-hop" music on the charts today.

That, and more than 150 people agreed with my comment. Many people care.

  • @awesomeion

K-os is mainstream, at least in Canada. Joyful Rebellion went platinum in Canada, and I still remember when Joyful Rebellion singles were played over and over again on MuchMusic rotation, as he deserved.

I do wish he sold more in the US though.

  • rap. in the case of kanye west, soulja boy, etc. it stands for "retards attempting poetry".

in the case of k-os, k'naan and other good rappers, it stands for "really awesome poetry".

  • @rivengle please do not put Kanye West in the same category with Soulja boy. Yes Kanye has sold out recently but his old stuff is pretty good hip hop. he brought a new style to the game

  • @MrsDaviesRocks yea go back to your lady gaga and hannah montana you fucken retard

  • @MrsDaviesRocks video??

  • Normally I'm no fan of rap, but this ☼ne's outstanding! :D ☺☼☺

  • I am 100% Michael Jackson inspired K-OS!

  • listen to my music, add, subscribe, or just drop some advice on how i can be better. thanks =]

  • true words!

  • I wish the end part was it's own song.

  • Anyone recommend other songs like the one at the end?

  • Ooooh...I never heard this....this is slick...tho I expected as much...it is K-Os.

  • i resonate with this song because i feel like hes speaking about his quest for inner peace and regardless of how hard he tries, he can't find it and along this journey he has become obsessed and lost his joy. i dunno thats just my interpretation.

  • @ellequence44 I like that interpretation....

  • i love when he sings <3

  • This song gave me strength in the worst of times, heard it first on college radio, My family was homeless and this song would often play as I returned home from work to the campsite we called home. I would stay in the car until it ended. I later searched him out with google and discovered "the man" He is a luminary! def overrated!

  • Is it just me are does he look like Wil I am

  • @Brownskinchick32 Thats racist man...haha no, yeah i see it to

  • @Brownskinchick32 Back before the Black Eyed Peas were so big, I used to say the same thing, plus they both rap & sing

  • @27BaltimoreRavens Me Too, It Was A Great Concert!

  • what is the song at the end of this one

  • GREAT!

  • I'm going to try to do all the same up tempo music in the same tone 1/2 white and 1/2 black..I might have a dj autistic melt down and put head through the wall.

  • @grubeci If you make it can I hear it?

  • I used to like him until he started a feud for no reason with Knaan, who I have lots of respect for. This fact makes everything I like about K-os seem hypocritical.

  • @TheDeenaG - shut the fuc up no one cares you fag

  • @zonenuke wow, get a life! feeling personally attacked by my opinion? now thats just sad.

  • K-os one of the most underrated rappers.....hell musicians of all time one of the few who actually keep it real.

  • Best part :

That's when I heard my callin' ... but I'd never heard the voice of truth before, so I kept on walkin' ... pretendin' I didn;t see ... I walked by a window and my reflection said to me ... You can try all the same but you'll never know this mystery, there's no pilot on your plane, and you're not the man you used to be.

  • great song.....
