i love to fight tanks but i hate them at the same time cuz one time me and my friend were fighting a tank on advanced and we thought we killed it cuz it was on its knees. and to be funny i decided to tea-bag it but it wasnt dead and a few seconds later i was. :(

No, it doesn't die, the player just loses control of it.

It does die if you're playing alone or Multiplayer Campaign. I don't believe Multiplayer Campaign involves real players playing as Special Infected.
