I think a lot of people like it because 1. Very young girls. (Joking, partially, of course) and 2. Aya Hirano and a few other known people sing the song and do the voices. Second, you helped me sum up all the reasons I love this anime. lol and I just realized you're right, the moment I found out Aya Hirano was voicing someone I instantly started watching, also I remember hearing this was related to SHnY (thanks for the way to rite that easier too) and had to watch. This has got to be one of the best anime I have ever watched, well, the best non-action based one.... no it still might be my favorite.

How can you not like it? Really, it relates to most people and is one of the nerdiest (in a good way) animes I've ever seen. Also, since it was a lot like Azumanga Daioh, being only four panels, it can easily jump from topic to topic. It makes sense, it's just pointless at times. Yeah, it's good, but don't expect a Haruhi-style anime. This is very different. If you want to compare it to something, think Azumanga Daioh. Relaxed, slice-of life comedy, not fantasy.
