  • Where's Pam The Funktress?

  • Damn! That's the funkiest thing I've ever seen!

  • The message? Organize for socialism. In a funky West Oakland kinda way.

  • @crud4 What more could you want? :)

  • @ClockworkRevolution Some beer to go with it?

  • Silky is finer than mofo, especially in person....they came to NYC & the place was packed out in South Paw.

  • Mannn my momma always used to bump a coup tape in her car and now i know why. real Hip Hop

  • WOW. HE CAN FLOOOOOW. I"m always seriously impressed by Boots. First heard The Coup in college, back in '98. Gets better and better. Brilliant he's always remained true to his craft.

  • get funky!

  • Me and my boy went to Vegas few years back. My boy brought this cd and I got to listen to the whole thing on the way up. I liked this song sooo much that on the way back when I was drivin, I ran back this song the ENTIRE ride home. My boy fell asleep right outside of Vegas and woke up when we were gettin off the exit for my house. He was like, "Bro, are you STILL rockin this song!!??" Such a sweet weekend. Vegas took all my money and this feel good music made me feel that it was all o.k.

  • I have seen them opening for Mr liff. i got there cd there and boots signed it. all he wrote was "FIGHT" go Boots do your thing!

  • FUNKY

  • son

  • Damn Boots is always clowning in the most flyest way Astro Pimp mashing the Sewer System.

  • So damn groovy it makes me want to dance, but then makes me sad because I can't dance.

  • True that brother, true that.

  • U+262D

  • GOLPE DE ESTADO!

  • Where is Pam??

  • Pam doesn't tour with them.

  • soothing

  • Sick.....like silk coming out of the speakers.

  • When i first read the title of the song i was scared it was some sort of degrading ganster rap song about women then when i listened to it i was very happy to find out it was not even close. This guy has to be one of the best diamonds in ruff i've found this year. Hat's off to him and his skill on the mic. I love his message also.

  • Sweet song, so mellow i saw them live

  • Phil Ivey on drums, no doubt!

This song is working for me and the miss is beautiful and all.

  • Boots is the only rapper who spits about revolution and sounds like he's having a good time while he does it, you can party to his communist manifesto. I love Dead Prez and Immortal technique but I think the Coup is better than all of them.

  • True that, Bay Area rappers always had the funk sound, which sounds happier.

  • I agree

  • Eheugh

  • fucking sick song

  • you can disagree with their politics, you can dislike their beats, you can be pissed that they havent lived up to the standard set by steal this album, but one thing about the coup cannot be denied:

    Boots Riley is RIDICULOUSLY funky.

  • although if you DO do all that shit i named, then youre retarded. just thoguht i'd clarify.

  • i love these lyrics. it's so great that after so many years they've stayed just as revolutionary and progressive as ever. "we can put em out of power and spread their loot" more bands should be saying this kinda stuff

  • Isn't it funny how truly great music is seldom recognized?

  • Truer words have never been spoken.

    And its sad....

  • I agree...but sometimes you'll be mistaken. I and a bunch of friends live in bumblefuck Georgia (though we can still make it to atlanta in a little over an hour) and LOVE the Coup. Ever since we saw them at the Variety with Les Claypool. Such a badass group.

  • @ShelbyJ31 because great music comes from great musicians and great musicians dont sell out.

  • @ShelbyJ31 word. funny in a fucked up way.

  • @ShelbyJ31 Not really, people at the top decide what's recognized

  • @ShelbyJ31 funny, i guess. id say its more like sad

  • agreed, sweet tunes, but whats with the dancing? Reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld heh

  • silk e can't dance for shit.

  • We spend too much time breaking each other down brother. Stay on the positive.

  • I got love for silk-e and I feel what your saying and all. But she was giggin like we still in the 70's. I feel you though, somebody always gotta speak on the negatives.

  • Real revolutionary music. Powerful music the coup has been around for at least seventeen plus years.

  • the realness

  • "911 was the anti-christ". from their album before real 911. whats that about? Still feel like rebelling. This is a nwo band.

  • dope shit
