I mean, he used to be a excellent guitar player in a great hard rock/blues band.

Now he came with a solo album, as a guitar player we expect a album like Passion and Warfare(Vai), Surfing with the Alien(Satch), Suspended Animations(Petrucci) but instead he comes withj a poprock album with some little guitar parts. And pop singers so he can make money, not music....

@RideTheRoses So the whole Fergie thing was a horrible call but if you think Myles Kennedy is a "pop" singer, you need to go out and see Alter Bridge live and have all of your musical receptors blown in person. I love Satriani but Slash plays with much more feeling and the "Slash" album is just a different beast from something like "Surfing with the Alien" entirely. If I want to be awed by technicality, I turn on some Satriani and am pleased. But don't knock something more widely palatable.

If you want to get blown away by epic guitar skills you should listen to vai and satriani instead. And you can't deny that Fergie didn't sing the shit out of Beautiful Dangerous, her vocals were incredible.

lol you are mistaking ....rich musicians self build their guitars and if you really think they payed for it 3000$ you are really on the bad road .....to self make a guitar costs nothing....i made a les paul since i know a lot of guys who work in a lumber industry and it really doesn't cost that much ....i really dont think a guitar is worth all that money....there are a lot of cheap instruments that sound awesome...sometimes i wonder if its really worth to buy a priceless one.
