Nice. I have the 2.9l VR6 in my Syncro. Just had to get the Gearbox rebuilt. Mines a standard 2.1 box but had the oiling plates put in. Torque curve is similar to the 2.1 petrol just a little higher up the graph.

Hey, sorry for not responding forever to anyone... I rarely log on here to check the video...

Anyhow, the transmission is a Vanagon transmission...I'm on number 2 now, blew the first one up.

The Vr6's come in golfs/jettas, passats and eurovans primarily... This conversion was done using an early passat motor.

Gas mileage is pretty decent if I can keep my foot out of it, which is the hard part. I'd say 22-25 highway roughly... Its hard to say as the tires I have on it are bigger than stock.

vr6 comes from vw passat (35i) or golf vr6, engine has 2,8 or 2,9 liters and 174 hp :-)

There are many questions that I would get uqe because I love this kind of mofificacion ....

as was the process?, that car is the engine that did the swap? .. and that model is your car that you did to the amendment? ... here in Mexico is not marketed this model, not that I remember .. .
