Trunks became my favorite character after this episode. It took Goku half a season to defeat Frieza and Trunks killed both him and his dad in one episode. Beast.

@davidenelson more fluid? well in my opinion i think that Kai did it better because Trunks had a hard life and just wanted to get the job done-while still being a badass =P. Kai did that and made him sound 17(yes in the manga hes 17) where as this one made him sound 13 and just like a simple badass. I respect your opinion though.

If you think about it, Trunks is a little too arrogant. What does being a Super Saiyan really mean to him? Seems like in his reality, he's never won a single fight. Since the only opponents he's ever faced, were the androids. And they make sport of him. So story wise, doesn't make much sense that he'd be so arrogant.

Then again, knowing he far out classes Frieza, may make him enjoy this fight a whole lot more.

Remember, Bulma had told him of how Goku beat Frieza on Namek as a Super Sayian, so it would probably stood to reason to Trunks that he could do it as well. I don't know if he thought Frieza was weak or not, just that he would be able to beat him as a Super Sayian.
