The repressive man in your example could not, for instance, use his his own authority to justify himself... he draws that authority from religious or even political ideology. Further, religious certainty makes small (albeit complex) conflicts into intractable, universal struggles of good ("us") against bad ("them")... it ruins any hope of compromise (e.g. Gaza).

Are you saying we should do the "holocaust"? I'm an Atheist, too, and I think you are missing something here. Islam has been misrepresented, the philosophy of that religion itself was very beneficial for those people because it encourages them to learn and question, contrary to Christianity.
Look my friend, I am a free man with a total faith-free mind. I see that all religions are missed up, but I don't think that Islam is the worse, at least it did not drive nations to dark ages.

God revealed this truth in the Book of Fatimah: "Know ye not why We created you all from the same dust? That no one should exalt himself over the other."
The Prophet Himself showed kindness and justice to Christian, Jew, Sabaean and even those among the idolators that were under His rule. Why would any Muslim think that they were entitled to do so, when the Prophet did not?
As for the non-Muslims who are here to attack Islam, is that not the thing you revile Muslims for doing?

Muslims can have anything and everything they want here. And I'll argue for everything for them, all they have to do is to stop the persecution in their countries of all other religions, to stop death threats against those who leave their religion for anything, even atheism.
Have you EVER been in a Muslim country or investigated how Christians live in Egypt?

@courag1 - I'm a Baha'i. Christians have a lot more rights than us in Egypt. And that's not even comparable to how Baha'is are treated in Iran.

He also said from then on the apostles would need to fend to feed and house themselves instead of depending on the kindness of others.
By both he meant the favorable life the apostles had living with Jesus was going to change after his death. The apostles were to become persecuted and would need to physically defend themselves from Romans, and no one would be charitable to them any longer, self be sufficient..

America is a country of christians, and was founded on christian principles and beliefs. Just like all Americans, your right is to worship what you want in your own household, but when Muslims start saying that American courts need to identify and acknowledge Sharia Law, That is where I draw the line! If you don't like Americas laws, then your right is to go back to your country...

If a Muslim beats the crap out of his wife, sharia law says, that's ok. In America, if you beat your wife, she can press charges against a Muslim man, husband, and take him thru our court system, and a Muslim husband can be held responsible for his actions. My point is, sharia law can not exist in America! Period! You must abide by our laws in USA.
