@barriseu No, Mark Knopfler has a sound of his own. If anything Steve Phillips is an influence on MK. However they are both excellent guitarists with roots in the North-East of England & the South/Mid-West of the USA.

Clapton's case with his son causing the making of this song happened after "Heaven" was released by Chris Rea.
