  • i just a hdmi converter for the wii on ebay, r those real

  • I just bought a component cable for my Wii, but the resolutions are still a bit crappy...

  • the Rocketfish brand cables aren't too bad either, mine does a decent job

  • got it for 10 bucks today at sears and it is amazing! ty cgr!

  • also, are there other reviews about different manufactures cables? are there differences between different brands of component cables?

  • can you show the differences between RCA and component?

  • only mark could make a review about wires enjoyable

  • Is there any advantage of official nintendo brand and monster cable brand cables over cheap 3rd party cables like this?

  • @logos2600 Not really, they all do the same thing.

  • I was wondering which component cable is of higher quality. Is delken better than nyko?

  • The blue thing is a baws

  • classic game room the Wii U (nintendo's next console comming out in june 2012) supports 1080p HD

  • got it. magic.

  • FODA BEM FODA, UAU !

  • There is a thing that u can get that u plug it into the back of your wii, and its a big adapter for and HDMI cable.

  • @kylan9812 I ment for a

  • How much better really is this gonna Output, I know that the console's hardware is capable of Putting out the EDTV 480p/1080i Instead of the basicly 240p-to 360p Out put.

How would this fair on a 40 Inch Samsung 1080p Television With setting on 480p/567i on This 20,000 Contrast Ratio 2008 LCD Tv lol. I could imagine it would look better on LED or plasma, specially newer models.

  • 1:39, Detecting Bar thing that uses magic LOL

  • @SNESFanboy64 whats so funny? the bar thingy does use magic ... how else do you think controllers now are wireless

  • I put one and I had such a hard time putting them on and taking it off

  • lol the motion control bar thing that uses magic.funniest thing I heard today.

  • My tv have 480i component do you thing it work with it? instead of the 480p???

  • composite is 480 I Component video cable is 480 P

  • Nyko HD-Link Component Cables or Official Nintendo Component Cables?

    Which is better.

  • i buy it for the blue thing!

  • The Wii can do HDMI it just needs and HDMI converter.

  • @spunkflunk. I know! ! I've. Seen manbearpig before

  • some people think manbearpig isn't real

  • one

  • I have the belkin

  • to the people wondering of this cables work

yes they do they do s very great job with color as well the texture more smoother, comparing these cable to the official wii cables which I had when wii was first release are way better then the wii components, why nyko cables offers a better sharper images, vivid colors no inference video, while the official wii components doesn't offer full gold tips like nyko does which causes less inference with video, lag, sound, however does it have jaggies yes

  • @supremfire31 wii doesn't have much anti aliasing. The cable can HANDLE hd but the wii can only output 480p max which sucks. Wii was never meant for great graphics so I won't complain

  • It's nyko, you plug a product from them in your wii it will get a disease

  • Good for you cause wii U ( wii 2) has HDMI

  • @CriminalMindsFan45 So your nerd to.

  • @koko6504 That is an incomplete sentence when taken literally, but quite obviously you have spelling capability issues.

  • @MrSerpico145 I know my spelling sucks and I was also joking.

  • @koko6504 Sorry, I'm an a-hole.

  • you know wii can work with hdmi you need a wii2hdmi it goes to the back of your wii. i hoped it helped. thank you for the review i was trying to find out more about the wii hd cables thank you.

  • s-video looks good on sd tvs if you don't have a hd tv buy a s-video cable believe me

  • s-video looks good on sd tvs if you don't have a hd tv buy a s-video cable believe me

  • AND PS2?

  • Can u plug this into your ps3 aswell to record from a hauppauge?

  • what happens if you hav only 3 plugs in ur hd tv

  • I'm Gonna sound like a complete noob but do you NEED an HD TV to use these or can you use a modern day tube tv???

  • This is a must-have for the 2D shooters, it really makes a difference.

  • is there any difference beetwen the nyko and the official nintendo component cables?

  • @SieghartzBR The nyko cables makes the quality for your HD TV even more greater quality and the original nintendo cable makes the quality normal but not greater. You could connect the nyko cables only to a HD TV.

  • do u really need hd 2 play super mario bros. on the vc?????

  • mark should review the wii2hdmi adapter

  • @XY237 i went to the store to get one of those, and they never even herd off it. Are those hdmi adaptor's still being made? i cant even find the usb to enthernet converter either.

  • @xkillaz18x yeah, they are still being made, you just have to order them on ebay or amazon, as for the usb to ethernet cable i'm not sure?

  • I bought one at a garage sale for $1 yesterday

Would be nice to see a picture difference FYI HDMI is just a smaller/compact version of component audio/video so you can run 1080p if the system allows though..

  • Well what the price difference for the nyko

    Cables ?

  • @mclovesth i got them for $22

  • shit....

    your component cable is fake

  • @mariogioco Fake? What are you smoking..

  • @KevinArcade -.- this cable isn't original nintendo... my component cable is original ;)

  • @mariogioco That does not make it fake. It's a 3rd market cable that is perfectly legal to be produced. It's not a fake as it does not claim to be the official Nintendo Wii component cable.

  • @mariogioco It's called a third party product... Nyko is a company which has been manufacturing accessories for every type of hardware for quite some time. You are either too young in which case stop speaking trash, otherwise stop living under a rock.

  • 3:51 best music ever!!!

  • i have been thingin to buy component cables to ps2 but is it really worth it, it costs like 17 bucks on gamestop

  • NYKO= New York Knock Out?

  • When you use those wires, will the controls be precise? Cause whenever i try and play my Wii on an HD screen using the regular wires, the controls get laggy. Does this make them perfect?

  • @DoubleAIV it's not about the output, try moving your sensor bar closer to you, preferably on top of the TV and faced to where you're playing, also try not to make sudden moves since most of the times the Wii Remote might confuse tour moves.

  • Definitely the first thing you wanna buy after you just bought a wii.......(not really)

  • @MAX981001 first thign you should buy after getting a wii is a second controller, then a game

  • @ComradeMagnum Lol, i know that, i was just joking.

  • the bar thing dosent do aynthing but broadcast ir... XD

  • That settles it, I'm buyin it

  • will theese work on the N64

  • @uwright22 No. The best cable that you can get the the N64 is S-Video cable.

  • @NextNate03 My RGB Nintendo 64 begs to differ.

  • I had to watch a fat person cry before watching the vid

  • Are these better than Nintendo's component cables?

    Cheers

  • If you're old TV has a blue, red, green port U can still put component cables DOESN'T NEED TO BE A PLASMA TV OR A LCD TV! :)

  • its a shame mine shows black and white my tv doesnt support it i still got the original cables though

  • Where do you buy it?

  • So are all these going into the back of your tv or just certain ones, because my hdtv only has room for three wires. Either that or do i have to buy something else? Helpp lol

  • They even have this blue thing here.haha

  • The data coming from the console will still be exactly the same so how the hell would a cable make the image look better if it is receiving and transmitting the same data as the other cable.

  • @AlexDC93 In the wii system menu theres an option that allow you to change the definition, either 480p EDTV HDTV or 480i for Standard TV. So i guess that the wii changes the video signal so it looks better.

  • @AlexDC93 from what i read is that you can change the definition in the wii menu, and then the basic colors rendered will have their own respectives wires, instead combining them just into one.

  • @AlexDC93 the composite cable has all color going in one cable which causes interference componenets separates the red blue and green giving it more clarity

  • @AlexDC93 The component cable unscrambles and displays MUCH more colours, sharpness and tint a lot better than Composite.

Lets try this example lets just cram all the colour, sharp, tint and pixels into ONE source lets say lets just cram it into a tight small box yea its just blotched and smashed not great at all.

Component helps the TV to use its full potential if you do have 480p/Progressive Scan

  • The component cable on my Xbox 360 gives me worse quality than composite when I change my TV to component channel.

  • just bought one of these and are totally awesome!

these works fine even with my favorite gamecube game f-zero gx

  • They've even got this blue thing here!

  • i need to get these cables because i am trying to do a lets play of zelda and i have a pvr and a dazzle but i dont have the pinnacle disk anymore so it sucks

  • Do all games support these cables?

  • depending on your Tv you can make it 1080p if you have an 1080 hd tv obviously and not 720p like i sold off last year

  • i been relay bussy playing ps3 this year 2011 is nintendo year!

  • my Nintendo Wii resolution looks fine with composite cables, all the colours look fine, and all the quality looks alright. im guessing it depends not only on the composite cables, but also the type of tv your using.

  • The people who say wii sucks in graphics obviously don't have these cables.

  • @carldude99 They say it sucks because it's not HD and doesn't have PERFECT textures and polygons...

  • I had these but I couldn't play Virtual Console games for some reason...

  • nice job with the add mod, so i was looking all over 4 these cables but i havent found them anywere walmart, gamestop nowhere

  • my ripe eazy

  • thanks, i cant believe all this time i had a wii and ive been using composite video cables and always wondered why the picture looked so fuzzy/blurry on my hdtv! I will be picking these up asap

  • i hate ads. oh well, at least mine was about NFL. thats ok

  • @yoshibacon12 if you have google chrome then go to settings>tools>extensions. then press get more extensions if u already have some. then type in the search bar to search extensions. " adblock plus" you'll never see those ads again

  • Man thanks a lot...!

I thought my brand new wii had a terrible resolution

    Great review

  • I now understood that the grey cable with the red and white top are for the sound and matches with there color. But the problem is when i plug the blue my screen becomes black and same when i plug the red with the grey cable. If i plug the green one the image appears but its black and white. Im talking about video only... audio is working fine when i plug in the green one... but its in black and white.

  • A five-minute long video review of a video cable. Only on Classic Game Room.

  • I got the Mad Catz component cable. Got to go with quality when using HD cables. Wish I had gotten the Nyko one's instead, though. I like the differently colored audio cables and that blue grippy thing too.

  • but still no HD...

  • old box tvs dont do component can they

  • @Euangify no they cannot

  • Respond to this video... I'm thinking of getting does cables I did bought one of a diferent brand and I saw like a yellow rain like static and wanted to ask does it happen with the nyko?

  • 1:38 hahahahaha

  • about how much are the component cables and u probably got them at walmart didnt u

  • @gh3wiiremote09 I think I got mine in sears or something for 20$

  • I am playing my Wii on a hdtv at 480p with component cables but Im having problems will the video quality, when i put in New super mario bros wii, the characters look kinda pixelated and also with some VC games like DKC they look very pxelated...my question to anyone reading this is do you get these problems as well or is something wrong with my hdtv or cables?? Thanks in advance!

  • @jcnba28 I have the same problem! I'm trying to find a solution to this as well.

  • @jcnba28 i think the problem is that their games are made for SD and so any higher on some games and alot of old ones it just makes them look more dated ( not saying new super mario bros is dated)

  • i still think the wii looks shit and im using component cables!!!!!!!!!

  • these are what im using and there not as bad as i thought they would be

  • Standard AV Cables, Component Cables, HDMI.

  • The motion detecting bar thing that uses magic.

    LMFAO!

  • @hdtvwrestling haha it came out so naturally

  • please show comparison between the 480i composite, 480p component, 720p dolphin.

  • Hey man, i have a standard TV (non lcd or plasma, i hope you understand what i'm talking about xD) and it's component compatible. If i use that cable, i am going to feel the difference? oh, and does those nyko work the same as nintendo's? Thanks!

  • motion detectiv bar thing that uses magic XDDDD so funny

  • The Nyko wii components may malfunction and not only not work at all with some games as well as fuck up your wii for overheating.

    NOT.

  • @RDV333 no they are tested and woud you sell a product that wont work

and cables are rely hard to make wrog

  • useless review. show some actual comparison.

  • Too bad the Wii doesnt have an hdmi port.

  • always take the nintendo one cause the others might not supprt the virtual console games, i experienced some problems

  • I Don't See What's the Big Difference As Long as the Cable's work it's fine with me.

  • really i love component video but the problem is not all games and or vc games or tv,s support it,so that,s why i skipped back to composite video.

eventrough for some reasons the wii composite video signal is much much better then the nes composite video signal, cuzz vc nes games looks so much clearer on the wii!!!!!

  • Has anyone told you that your voice sounds similar as Dick Enberg's (CBS Sports commentator)?

  • Nice job on the vid. Clear video, clear audio, and you know what you are talking about. Thanks for showing the cables in detail. well done thanks for a proper video review of a product. What is the length?

  • actually they should have hdmi video and optical audio.

  • lol uses magic XD XD,you can also use two candles now that is magic XD XD

  • actually, coax is the worst video quality that you can get today.

  • @goldturtwig true true

  • @bbforky im sorry, what are you agreeing to? i commented on this quite a while ago.

  • @idonthaveacoolcar. Oh ya but what nintendo does have are totally awesome games that make gaming super awesome. Don't get me wrong I also own a PS3 and my brother owns a Xbox 360. Both are hooked up to HD. But I still find my self playing my Wii cause it totally rocks.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaah that uses magic

  • VD-W3 HDMI Upscaler Processor

  • who knew cables could be racist?

  • Where are the HDMI cables or the hd cables oooooohhh wait the Nintendo will docent have any of those

  • @idonthaveacoolcar Where is the zelda or mario? OOOOOOOHHH waait the xbox 360 or ps3 doesnt any of those masterpieces

  • YAY FOR GRIPPY THINGS!

  • is this better than the rgb cables?

  • @EmperorOfRevenge RGB like SCART? If so, NTSC does not have SCART. These are as RGB we can have without using VGA

  • @thatguyontheright1 ok thanks

  • @EmperorOfRevenge A inifinite times better. You are jumping from analogic 480i to 1080p if the game delivery.

Change as soon as you can to digital and see the the real deal.

  • i have these for the xbox. there great

  • ugh the song to the beginning of this video to the end is so ANNOYING

  • "They've even got this blue thing here" SEEEGAAAAAAAAA!........sorry XD

  • can't wait to get that component cable for my wii!

  • Comment removed

  • I really want that cable.

  • Composite delivers 480i and 576i running 25, 29,97 and 30 fps

Component will run 480p 50, 60 fps. (Some games will only run at 30 fps such as Sonic Unleashed)

With Component you will not notice slowdowns that much, smoother motions and more colorful graphics.

  • ahhhh, so thats what i need to get 480p

  • Composite is not the worst. RF is.

  • were can i buy one plz help

  • If you have a PS2, Xbox or GC, and you live in Europe, it's best go get SCART cable ;) I bought a third-party one, and it's great, there is a big difference. And I'm talking about the real SCART cable, not the composite, with SCART adapter :)

  • 480p!=hd

  • @RenegadeFury 480p= ED

  • there are a component cable olso for ps2

  • all the av out plugs on nintendo consoles from nes to gc are the same

  • how do i put it in my coaxel?

  • @lol666 You cant plug component into coaxel, not even with an adapter since Component is progressive scan HD and Coaxel sucks.

Just get a NEW TV that has component plugs.

  • @thatguyontheright1 wats a tv

  • i get it, the tips of the video wires are red green and blue for the red green and blue pixels!!! wow

  • I Have These But Do Not Know How To Hook Up IT UP????

  • @TheW0rldsGame you need a TV with component plugs ie: any NEW TV.
