  • OR you could just skip the grains, much healthier!

  • Nothing wrong with grains, eat whole grains,DON'T eat any bread, or cakes,

  • Yeah, true. I don't buy this "all grains are bad for you" advice that the Paleo-diet crowd has been advocating. The abundance of enriched flour in a lot of foods has sadly given grains a bad name.

  • actually, whole wheat bread is not much better than white bread. If you really want to go healthy, go for the whole grain bread.

  • That's not really true either. I've seen wheat bread with more fiber than some multi grain breads. It's all about the fiber content. Check and compare lables folks. Make sure if the lable is going by 1 slice or 2 slices and do the math for urself.

  • Are you a nutritionist?

  • You don't have to be a nutritionist to do research. This is good commen sense. Just because grains are "multi" doesn't mean they are whole necessarily. It's deceptive marketing. Read to lables and look for the highest fiber content whether it's multigrain OR wheat. Sheesh!

  • What's with you and fibre, geez? There's more to whole grain than fibre. And I said nothing about multigrain bread, I said wholegrain bread.

  • Go argue with someone else about a loaf of bread.

  • Yay, I win ;p

  • I don't want to argue, all I was doing was stating a opinion/fact. My bad if it came out wrong, but no one reads between the lines anymore.

  • Its all white bread just died a caramel colour !!

  • @Squabbles10

Yea, but many people are sheep.

and the corporations own the United States.

Which is why Obama wants to take our money, he can't control corporations.

  • Half/half is a good way to go. Some people just don't like the taste or texture of whole grains. Those products you showed with concentrations of both make a good compromise.

  • ... then try the whole wheat blend pastas (Barilla Plus is a good one). It's a great option ... half white/half wheat and some flax seed mixed in for heart healthy omega-3 fats.

  • It always bugs me how to Whole grain pastas are chunky...
