i just found out about this guy today. i can't figure out how i never heard his music until now. i love stuff like the Doors, Manson, Mr bungle, and so on...and lots of heavy metal...so how i missed this is beyond me.
i just love how haunting and spooky it is, and his image really adds a "twist" to his music too.

nomi was the second coming of jeebus chrispe. hiv is the real antichrist. and the prophet muhammed (peace be upon him). that's it! the prophet muhammed gave klaus nomi aids so that we might all live in peril, for what is a world without nomi when it had once
Ah yes you are right, it is in fact a Cover. Still I find it hard to think that it was not the intention of mr. Nomi to make the cover in a comical way (which it is for me) hence being what may be referred to as a parody of the original.
the first record I bought... "Twist" by Chubby Checker, a single. I bought it in a little town at the south of Brazil that's to say very near the end of the world.
I listen to every music he sings since I was 8 years old. I still does! I wish Klaus alive to make more unforgettable music and his voice! His music will lives forever!!
...Why hasn't this man been shot? All he did is take another song and drag it out and take everything good about it out...just like with the rest of his songs...
and just who the fuck wonders why a man who died and was then cremated in 1983, has not been shot yet??.... have some respect for those who had more talent in thier toenail clippings than you will ever have in you entire waste of a life
I love it! Klaus was an insane evil genius, no question about that. (And before anyone flames me for saying so, I mean that in a GOOD way.) I know he would approve of this tribute! The only fault I see in it is that it would have been better if you had excised the last minute-and-a-quarter or so, the silent part.
I love everything from Klaus. I can not get enough of this other-worldly transplant. You can see his influence on artists from that time and today. Genius!!

A damn shame that Klaus had to die but we still have talentless piece of shit screamo bands around.
I just found out about the guy this month, and I'm already a fan.

You should be careful to talk about things you do not know. This is a parody of Chubby Checker-The twist. A song originally from the 60'.

its a cover, not a parody. lrn2terminology.

Chubby Checker did a straight cover version of Hank Ballard's 'The Twist'. Klaus did an interpretation.

The line you're mishearing is "We're going twist until we tear the house down."
But I can see how you could make that mistake. I can almost hear it there too.
