i never played this game but just got done with ffx. Yuna went from shy but brave summoner determined to fight sin, to a tacky pop idol. Or is this game not totally based of the first final fantasy X? Its making me cringe its like a movie company producing a harry potter fan fiction.

@SuperSaibotShow People always complain about how much Yuna changed in FFX-2. I don't get why, to me it makes perfect sense. All through FFX, she thought she was going to die. She never lived for herself, only for Spira. And then, in the end, she gets to live on, in a world of peace.

Who WOULDN'T want to mix it up after all that? I think the Yuna in X-2 is how Yuna always wanted to be, deep down, but she never had the freedom to do what she liked before.

@xAntiformsorax oh .. it's Final Fantasy X-2 for PS2. it's the sequel to Final Fantasy X. just search online and you'll find it. note, it's different to Final Fantasy XII which is FF12. this is the sequel to FF10.

I remember when I played this some of the dialogue and all around girlyness was so embarrassing I pretty much shut it off instantly when any guys came in the room! If it hadn't been for Paine's smart ass comments this game would have been a fail in my book, her character saved it for me IMO.

@flipklenefoeva RPG stands for role-playing game. it's a genre of video games. there are generally 2 types of RPG games - WRPG (Western RPG) such as Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, and Fable. and then there's JRPG (Japanese RPG) like Final Fantasy, Persona, Star Ocean, Tales series, and such.

ive just bought final fantasy x and x-2, would you recommend playing them in order (since ffx-2 is a direct sequel) or does it really matter because from the ocmments ive read apparantly there not very simular?

@SamanEd yes u want to play the first one first. if you don't play the first one .. then second one is pointless to play. because the second one is really an add-on for you to see the characters you miss from the first one. first one is EPIC .. second one is more like .. revisiting. the story in second one is standalone BUT .. you won't get any emotional connection since it's all built in the first one.

The music and graphics were good, but music and graphics do not make a good game. The idea that it was a feminist game is total bullcrap. In short...I didn't like it. :)

I thought the music was catchy. However, the music should never have come from Yuna's mouth. It was so out-of-place.

Now that SIn in gone, who needs a summoner? Yuna is making her own choices, she became a sphere hunter to collect spheres which could reveal secrets that no one ever knew about. When I found out about FFX I just had to know about the summoner, the secret friend and the aeons! Turned out to be cool in lots of ways. I kind of like the this game for this was the first FF game I played.

This just looks like Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon put together. In Kingdom Hearts you get to choose your MP attack from a menu, and in Pokemon you have to wait for the other person to finish attacking you before you attack. Dynasty Warriors is a lot better series than this. You can actually fight the people without waiting in that series.

@swimmer769: The first Pokemon game to come out was in 1996, whilst the first Final Fantasy came was in 1987. So, Pokemon is the one who had the similar style to Final Fantasy. Kingdom Hearts is by the same company (after the Merge of Square Soft and Enix), thus comparing it to the Final Fantasy games doesn't help your argument much.

Final Fantasy Crisis Core and FF XIII do not have this style of game play either.

I respect your opinion, however try to be a little more respectful yourself.
