@LeeTerminator hideaki sorachi created gin tama. i haven't watched much of the tv series so i don't know whether he appears in it, but in the manga he does little inserts between chapters of his thoughts on how the series is progressing and he often draws himself as a monkey wearing a t-shirt. i think he must identify with kondo 'the gorilla' a lot!

hmm, I guess my words won't really do it justice, but I'll give it a go all the same:

The plot sets around Edo (now modern Tokyo), conquered by Aliens after the defeat of the local samurai.

The protagonist is Gintoki, a really really eccentric samurai and his... err, well, gang/pals I suppose.

The story is pretty hot-blooded and full of gags. If you like fun and random (and perhaps manly?) humour, then this is the perfect thing for you.
