Wow, I must say I am impressed. Love the Scorpions version, but this does do the song justice.

I think much of what Haddaways problem was is that he suffered a bit of the "One Hit Wonder" curse with "What is Love?", plus the fact that it was popularized by the classic SNL sketch. So although the song made him famous, it didn't make his talent and beautiful voice famous and he was forever typecast as the "danceclub/techno singer".

It's certainly a very close thing as to which one I prefer... I think I do prefer the original because of the instrumentation but his voice does a great slightly more acoustic version. Not often a cover actually does the original justice.

I am pleased to hear a very good cover of any song by Scorps!! This guy didn't get all carried away with riffs and vocals all over the place. He remained true to the song. The guitar player on the other hand just didn't do justice to the solo. But it's not about the guitar player, it's the singer who deserved kudos. ;-D
