What about the 260z 2+2? I remember back to Junior High School & a friend's older brother who owned a 260z. He gave us rides in it several times & I distinctly remember a back seat. Was that also a 1974? I would be curious to know as I have always kept my eyes open for one. I would of course be very happy to own a stock 260z some day.

The 1974 260z was the first year for the 2+2 models. Both early carbed models and the later fuel injected ones were available as 2+2's, although the early ones are quite rare. Something to remember... 240z=70-73(and 69', although that's quite rare.) 260z=1974 and 280z=75-78.
@BeastlieDraws Thanks for your response to my inquiry. 6 months...how long is that? Being an old dude, time tends to speed by. Kinda biblical in a sense. (One day is as a thousand years & all that). At any rate, thanks for your response. My memories are from 1975-1977. My family moved in '77 so I never knew what happened to my friend or his older brother's car. Seems to be much rarer than we gave it credit at the time. It was just a cool way to get a ride to school at the time. Cheers.

So the '74 Z was the only model year available with the 260, didn't know that. No wonder I've only seen a handful of the 260...
