They certainly don't make films like this anymore. And there'll be no actors who could possibly pull it off. All we can see in films these days are blood-spitting CGIs and naked bodies.

Where are all those Terry-Thomases, Charlton Hestons, Jeremy Bretts, Noël Cowards, Anton Walbrooks, Charles Boyers, Gert Fröbes, etc, etc, *and* etc!???

You're absolutely right! They don't make 'em like this any more.

One of the first films I ever saw at the cinema. The film was very underrated at the time and deserved more success than it received. Excellent ensemble acting from all the cast, with Terry-Thomas at his caddish best and Eric Sykes a superb foil.

Unbelievably, this classic film is still not available on DVD in the UK.
