The Bugatti Veyron is faster than the SSC. For a short time the SSC was faster but Bugatti updated to 8L V16 1200hp engine. But the SSC is still a V8 so you have to give it a lot of credit.

On SSC part, that is a poor excuse. The US has plenty long straight roads longer than Ehra Leissen. There are tournament in Texas with cars reaching 250 +mph. Veyron did reach 253+ mph at Mojave Airport multiple times. The fact is SSC seems unable to afford track rental or their car is really rubbish: NONE of UA in Dubai work mainly due to engine problem and poor reliability.

I'm a fan of both cars, but you're treating the ssc like it's not going to need tune ups too, they both require extreme maintenance because they both exceed 250mph, neither car is meant to be a reliable car that you will trust never to break down on your way to work or something, these cars are short lived speedsters and shouldn't be judged otherwise.

The aero is a good handling car as well. It's a drivers car, so they say. No power steering, No ABS, No traction control. I hate computer drivers like the GTR. Which is a nice car but not a drivers car. The veyron may last 20yrs, but your pocket book won't. Forget the price of the car, it's the maintenance. Check out the maintenance on that thing. They want you to replace the RIMS at like 30K miles, and their like 20K a piece. I may be off a little but it's somewhere around that.

It's not always the car that wins sometimes it's the driver. I've driven the same car at the strip my friend owns and couldn't come within 1/2 sec of his slowest time. Neither car is a real road racer put them up against a Porsche 959 or Twin turbo Jag on a curvy road and see who comes out ahead.

The Veyron GT has 1250hp & allready hit 264mph so say goodbye to the Aero, off into obscurity

True but still the Aero has a much faster slalom in both speed and time. The bugatti is incredibly slow around the nurburgring so that shows you somethings wrong when it does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds

Truth is the Veyron has already beaten it as Its alot better built, The interior is miles better and the Veyron wont fall apart after 3 days like the SSC. Trust me I've sat in both. Im just tirred of hearing about the Faggoti Gayron. I dont have a problem with car that have 1000 horsepower and awd but the Gayron weighs more than 2 tons. I'm a fan of both cars, but you're treating the ssc like it's not going to need tune ups too, they both require extreme maintenance because they both exceed 250mph, neither car is meant to be a reliable car that you will trust never to break down on your way to work or something, these cars are short lived speedsters and shouldn't be judged otherwise.

When a group of cars competes for the title 'Fastest Car in the World' they're going to have similar setups. It's just what is necessary to force an engine to work that hard. You could say the Koenigsegg copied off the Mclaren but that's not the case. It's not difficult to get 1100 bhp out of a big V-8. Large turbos, ignition, big injectors, lightweight engine parts, etc. Your being hard-headed because you're wrong. Everyone with a computer/internet can see how unintelligently you are.

The aero is a good handling car as well. It's a drivers car, so they say. No power steering, No ABS, No traction control. I hate computer drivers like the GTR. Which is a nice car but not a drivers car. The veyron may last 20yrs, but your pocket book won't. Forget the price of the car, it's the maintenance. Check out the maintenance on that thing. They want you to replace the RIMS at like 30K miles, and their like 20K a piece. I may be off a little but it's somewhere around that.

it didn't beat anything you homo. it used 200hp xtra & only gained 3mph over a car that had the REV limiter on. If you took the REV limiter off of the Veyron it would be faster than SSC but nobody needs to bcuz the new Veyron GT was tested by VW & it hit 264 & that's what the REV limiter is now set to. Go back to playing with your make believe cars in video games.Faster is faster. Show a race between cars not some made up numbers with a stopwatch. It's not always the car that wins sometimes it's the driver. I've driven the same car at the strip my friend owns and couldn't come within 1/2 sec of his slowest time. Neither car is a real road racer put them up against a Porsche 959 or Twin turbo Jag on a curvy road and see who comes out ahead.

you keep saying how the SSC has better slalom and 1/4 mile but if you looked deeper, you find out what tires they used. they used semi slick tires while the veyron used sport tires to put up similar number's. the SSC is slower in everyway including top speed bcuz the Veyron's speed was manufacturer limited unlike the SSC which had no REV limiter. The Veyron GT has 1250hp & allready hit 264mph so say goodbye to the Aero, off into obscurity

the SSC is faster, the sheik in dubai raced his Veyron against the SSC from a 10 role, the SSC put a car length on them veyron in everygear and then some all the way up to 180mph. Granted the Veyron is 1000lbs heavier, but the SSC has no traction control,abs, or power steering, plus when they did the record run they simply just didnt have enough room to max it out. It reached 256 in under 4 miles, that is insane, oo yea did i forget to mention, its PUSH ROD V8.

I heard that story too but it was coming from the vice president of SSC so you really can't believe that & plus SSC has been known to use slick tires from time to time. The reason I like the W16 better is bcuz with twice the cylinder's there will be alot less stress on the engine so you can drive a Veyron for 20 year's. It was actually built to last 20 years or more so it's pretty cool that the engineers made a W16 to benefit whoever buy's it. SSC's fast but I hate the interior lol

yea the Veyron def has the SSC beat in styling and pure design and engineering, the SSC is pretty much just a statement of how fast Shelby can make a car, i forget how much VW loses for every veyron they sell but i think its somthing like 10million, they made the car also as a pure statement, and not to make money. Of course the car will last 20 years any car can last 20 years if taken care of properly, but since it has so many cylinders that means just that many more moving parts and friction

from 2006-2008 they made 280 & in 2009 they made 300 so if you do the math, it means they've lost $1.5 billion at least so even for VW I can't see that happening. They must be making profit now. I agree, Veyron's one of the most legendary cars ever but even though the Enzo's interior is stripped out, it's still alot better than SSC or ascari IMO. The McLaren F1 really cool too. gotta love the center driving position but the Veyron has surpassed it I think. F1 will win on really tight tracks tho

ya instantly one of my favorite parts about the 458 was the interior too. It has alot of power so it probably will destroy a scuderia. The Caparo T1 is also rediculously unreliable. It caught on fire when 5th Gear tested it & broke down on Top Gear's test lol. It's superfast as expected but the fact that the FXX is that close is insane plus the FXX will do 240mph & you'd be insane to even try to take the Caparo past 200mph lol I can't wait for the successor to the Enzo

I can't see them making the 600 Veyron's they've made & not somehow or at somepoint turning a profit somehow. that's 3 billion dollars of the past 4 years. True but still the Aero has a much faster slalom in both speed and time. The bugatti is incredibly slow around the nurburgring so that shows you somethings wrong when it does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds

its okay. youre allowed to think that. youll never be
an american. you arent able to handle going 8 seconds in a quarter mile
and having the ability to launch a car perfectly while handling all the horses
to the rear wheels, you can get a nice euro import for a ton of money that
isnt really even meant to be driven on every day roads, i respect and enjoy imports but youre problem is you cant respect the opponent .
and i dont recall any name brand high quality spanish cars.. ever.

i din't want to be ofensive.. i like american cars i think they are great, but has i said before, in my opinion, european cars are better. but if we think for a bit we can't compare them all.. they are very diferent, you in America like big engines and don't have to worry about fuel consumption becouse you pay less money then us for fuel in europe, it´s just an exemple there are many other reasons.
