This is one of several remakes of the adverts made in 1992/3 - the orginals came out in the 70's. The actor in the remakes was impressionist & actor Julian Dutton, the actor in the originals was Israeli comedy actor Julian Chagrin. The remakes in the

1990's included sequences with Julie-Dawn Cole (as the new wife), Ronnie Corbett (as above), John McEnroe, Saint & Greavsie, Nicholas Parsons, Mr. Ben, and Frankie Howerd (the last never shown as Frankie Howerd died shortly after making the ad.)

I honestly didn't realise there were two separate actors! I just assumed they had superimposed Ronnie Corbett and the others onto the original Julian Chagrin footage. Very cleverly casted, although you can spot a difference in hairstyle when you compare them on Youtube.

I remember being really surprised at this advert I remembered seeing it originally in the 70's and just thought it was the same ad. Then they changed the ending!! BRILLIANT!! :-)

There's a version that spoofs Mr Ben as well that's really funny.

I also totally have this on my robin hood video [taped off the telly obv - xmas 1992] and i love this advert so much! it makes me laugh everytime!

whats actually also rather depressing is i remember R Whites Lemonade when this Ad came out. I would've only been 6 years old.

The Singer is Ross McManus, one of the backing singers is Declan McManus, who is Ross's sun and also known as Elvis Costello! The actor in the advert is Julian Chagrim.

I remember this. I have this on my Robin Hood video when it's the advert this advert is on it. What's the man's name who sings I'm a secert lemonade drinker and pours the lemonade in the glass? I love Ronnie Corbett he looks funny in his nightie and slippers. I so love the bit when the man says to Ronnie R Whites lemonade? pours some into a glass and they both pull funny faces and the ad frezzes. It's a good ad. Do the shops still sell R Whites lemonade? I was 4 in 1992 when this ad was out.
