  • They're adorable. I'm slightly embarrassed to say this but I couldn't pick the two moors out. I'd love to get a moor from a breeder.

I'm feeding my molly fry on brine shrimp and blood worms, they love it.

  • I got it wrong !! I had to wait until they were bigger to be able to see it.

Those two are not Moors at all but for some reason (& gawd only knows what went on etc) they have Moors' tails. {8o

They appear to be growing & swimming fine with the rest of the Comets/Koi though, dunno what the other fish make of em but their all getting along fine ;)

Gonna be interesting to see them at full size with Comet colours - 14".

Heck ! I've just realised, there's a new species of fish in my tank LOL

  • That's crazy and very impressive. I bet they'll be adorable.

I'm going to send you a message with a few questions.

  • How long before you strat seeing colours??

  • About 7 - 9 months ;)

  • really?

is it true that some will get their colours right away? I only got 5 out of my batch (caught the eggs late) right now they all look exactly like in your video. Female was all white (butterfly) male orange with black stripes. shouldn't I be seeing colours within 3 mths?

  • There were 3 white ones in my last batch, I suppose it would depend on what type of fish your breeding. Koi are born white and get their colours later, Sarasa Comets are born brown and get their colours within a year.

You can speed up growth by raising the water temperature a little bit, but they will eat more ;)

  • i love watching fish. im going to get a heater so i can have tropical fish

  • A bit more work involved with tropical fish, but well worth it if done right ;)

  • Cool, I love watching fish.

  • Yeah, they've started to get their colours now - red, white, orange, gold & blue. A few are still brown though.

  • Love the light showFergus lol.

  • very nice :D

  • omg their beautifull i dont get why your fish are so small though my comet is 2 inches maybe more

  • Maybe because I took all the plants with the sticking eggs out of my main tank and put them into a very large 'bucket' :( I had nowhere else to put them at that time. They grew until now as I got them a new 180L nursery tank ! They will go into their new home in March or April ;) They are now growing VERY fast in the new tank !!!
