Here's a note to all beginners. Playing video games in general not only strengthens your Finger and hand muscle, but also increases your hand eye co-ordination. Guitar hero does help with rhythm, but when it comes to real life, its very different to the game so don't think just because you can play master of puppets on expert doesn't mean you can play it in real life instantly...
I played guitar for like 4 years my dad tought me songs by view i never played by tab and never learned scales just some widely used chords E e miner A a minor G D and C and c minor .. so now that i stopped playing and just jumped back into it metal is difficult to play because i was tought to play without a pick ... so its like learning guitar all over again
But how do you alternate pick every string? Like going down up down up for every other string, so down on the E string, up on the A string, down on the D string... etc. really fast? How do I do that?
@ScreamMode1337 hey dude all beginners are gonna suck.. It takes alot more practice and patience and youll get better.. Plus you just need to find something that will motivate you
Bad quality but it's still not hard to do because you explain it really well, get a better camera and you could make tons of money off of these tutorials
hey man, awesome lesson! Ive ben playing for 5 years, but my parents pulled me out of lessons about a year and a half ago. Ever since then, ive gone off track. My guitar teacher was teaching me about things like this before i stopped taking lessons. Any advice on how i can start learning again? I really ned to learn how to solo.
Hey man, this is a very cool lesson! ive just created some beginner courses that you might want to check out on my channel. Its the Hub of a new website >> RexPearson. com << would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think
yes exactly it has helped me out gitbad u are a great teacher ive learned more licks from u then any other teacher because u litterally break every part downin sections bless u beyond words for ur lessons
I'm one of those people that just CANT play... which pisses me off so bad... i love guitar, i can think of how to play but my hands are coordinated behind the lines of terrible. I have been practicing for 2 years and I can't play worth shit, my family has a shaking limb bloodline issue where even if you are extremely calm your hand will shake if you try to hold it in the air. This shaking makes it impossible for me to strum correctly... I'm musically handicapped in the guitar department.
@ScreamMode1337 I don't know if your problem is due to some physiological problem of yours, or if it's just tension that's causing your hand to shake. Either way, try checking out the Principles of Correct Practice for the Guitar by Jamie Andreas; it's a method designed to help people address problems in their posture and in the amount of tension in their hands when they play (among other things), two very common culprits which prevent people from making progress on the guitar.
Right on this was exactly what i was looking for! My friend back home just got his first guitar and i wanted to find him something that was easy to learn and sounded cool! and this was perfect! rock on!
@griffin456456456 Nope it's not. I have been training alternate picking for a couple of days and I learned this in 1 minute ( no joke.) Really nice and good exercise thanks alot gitbad!
Great. UP THE IRONS \m/ i Love this riff to it's " easy " to play and it's sounds F****** GREAT! but. Could you tell me your AMP settings of your Marshall AMP please? I've got the same than yours I Love This amp \m/
hay what realy works wel is using the low "D" string with tyhe guitar in drop d tunung and instead of just using the 1 string bar 6,5+4 to make a powerchord (sounds realy heavy and demonic great for death metal)

hey. i got a problem, im love the riff? is it? dunno. but hey. my question is, how is your bottom e tuned? is it regular coz mine is acoustic, (im getting an ibanez GSA60 soon) and it doesnt sound right.
@TheTomcheese Yeah its regular standard tuning E A D G B e - your guitar might be out of tune or it might be that I'm using an amp for my clean and distorted tones! Thanks for subbing, many more vids coming soon with a new website too!
This is awesome man - I dunno if i can get that kind of sound with my Cube 20x though, I'm using a schecter Damien-6, its an awesome guitar, but I'll def have to play around with the amp..
@ChrisTeamProdigy i use a cube 30 and to get a decent metal sound just put the bass about 9 treble bout 7 and mid about 7. put it on r fier. gain up to about 1/2 to 3/4 and the volume wherever you like it :L maybe a tiny bit of delay dependin on what your playing. hope that helped.
Is it ok if I use this in a guitar song I came up with? I really like this riff. I added other stuff too and made my own patterns of this riff as well.
Interesting style. I'm going to have to give this a try. Does it matter if its played in standard tuning or whatever? Cause thats what I play in most of the time. So far I got a Dean EVO Special in flame red, a Jackson with custom flames, and a Cruzer Crafter ST80 electric guitar with a 30 watt Traynor amp and a DigiTech Metal Masters distortion pedal.
