Well if you did research on the fair tax program Mike Huckabee supports you would find it to be 24%-25% and if you did some more research would find right everything you buy has 22% embedded tax (you pay for the taxes of the company they don't pay for it) so thats only a 2-3% increase in what your already spending. The Fair Tax is a 23% *inclusive* sales tax, not exclusive. For example, an item that would cost $100 with the Fair Tax would actually be $77 with no tax. 23%, right? No, because if you multiply $77 x 1.30 = $100, therefore 30%. Huckabee won't cut anything - he'll do the tax shuffle just like every other politician.

Also, the point is that GOVERNMENT DOESN'T NEED THIS MONEY, whether it's an income or sales tax because they WASTE IT. Check out the 1984 Grace Commission report for starters.
