some times yes. some leos are verry agressev towards others.is yours is you may need to. like pouple geckos live in packs and groops. if you do not interact with it alot you may need to play eith it every day for about 5-10 minits. if you can not do that it is best to get a nother leo. if you do not want a leo get a fat tail. you care for them exatly the smae. my leo at fat tail are best friend. good luck

Im setting up my viv for when I get two geckos. At present. I have made a two storey false rock over the warm side of the viv. On the rock there are two hides. The lower hide is a normal warm hide and I'm planning on doing the top as a humid hide. On the cooler side, I have one large plant, vine and two pieces of wood. One is hollowed how to act as a hide. These artificial plants and wood are creating lots of shaded and cooler areas. Is this sufficient?

in your vid you said that you weren't sure of the difference between a fat tail and a leopard gecko, although very similar they are different species you cant breed a leo with a African fat tail, fat tails also need moister more humid environments and don't live as long as leos generally, thats about it really.

@PrestinDrift370z I'd say get more experienced. I plan on breeding at some point as well. Though, the age of your geckos will have a lot to do with if you should/can breed them as well as their weight and the time of the year. If you want more experience, just keep one gecko for a while, and after you're solid with that, consider getting another. Though, you must [its recommended] that you quarantine the new one for 30-60 days to make sure they aren't sick or something.

@mullet559 Just a heat pad that covers about half the cage - the gecko itself doesn't need lighting but if you want to illuminate the cage so you can see in better at night, I reccomend just getting a low wattage red bulb. Red because the gecko can't see red so they wont be confused by it.

@CoNcEpTGamingPSN Whoa, is that USD? Because that's extremely overpriced. At pet stores on the east coast US a normal leopard gecko runs about $30, and at an expo they're even cheaper. For $90 at an expo you can get some pretty fancy geckos.

mine wont eat beetles and dosent eat all of his mealworms straight away and he ends up with loads of beetles running around. is there anything i can do?

and if you dont;t already, put only 1-2 mealworms in a dish in front of your gheko,

if he eats them, thats great, but if he doesnt, don't leave them there. you have to take them out of the cage just like the beatles. becuase if you leave them there and your ghecko doesnt eat them, they can start to stress out your gheko and they might even start to start eating your ghecko.
