  • EnVogue must go down as the best girl group because they ALL had lead voices, unlike the other girl groups. And plus they ALL were sooooo beautiful, unlike the other girl groups. Not to mention their style.

  • Ok, um..

    Destiny's WHO??

  • Cindy sang the HELL out of this song.

  • women with class is real hard to find now adays!!! they got class..

  • Much better than that crap today showing women only as bitches and hoes, from the time this song came out women had more power and respect.

Where did all the love go?

  • 21 years old.....but diz mii shyt

  • U NO NOW THT I LOOK BACK AT THIS VID AND WATCH IT ....I JUST HOPE THEY WERENT TOPLESS...CUZ...UHMMM (NO WORDS)

  • Love TH3 NATUral Lo0k, My Mom HAd the CASSEtte Tape we stayEd JammiN to This

  • I love this song, but this video makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever. haha. It doesn't go with the song at all.

  • The best girl group of all time. NO LEAD SINGER!!! They all sung lead!!! I always thought Terry and Dawn were the strongest singers. Cindy voice was more pop that soul and Maxine had a gospel voice.

  • @Cloak3791 I think the most POWERFUL voices in EV were Terry and Dawn. But as far as STRONGEST, especially live, I think Cindy and Max had the stronger voices. Like, Terry and Dawn could kill a run in a song, but couldn't always sing it live. Max and Cindy would outdo their recordings.

  • I noticed in the earlier videos, Cindy was always singing lead.

  • *reminiscing* Look at Terry's big eyes gorgeous.

  • Cindy and Terry are so freaking hot. Their bodies are of super model quality! And they're faces are beautiful as well.

  • @infinitygenealpa Dawn was the prettiest, IMO, although they were ALL gorgeous! I just think that her beauty was underrated ...kinda on that Kim Bassinger tip

  • THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE EV SONG! WHY? BECAUSE THIS IS CINDY'S SONG! THIS IS ALL CINDY! THIS IS CINDY'S EV CLASSIC! I LOVE ALL FOUR LADIES! BUT I DON'T HIDE THE FACT THAT CINDY IS MY HEART! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER UNCONDITIONALLY! PLUS THE BEAT ON THIS SONG IS SO FUNKY AND NASTY, I NEED SOME INCENSE(PEW WEE)! BY THE WAY, THIS SONG WENT #1 ON THE R&B CHARTS IN 1990! I LOVE YOU BEAUTIFUL CINDY ANN TILL THE DAY I DIE!!!

  • this is one of my favorite songs by en vogue. I wish they would make another come back

  • classy ladies

  • Luv En Vogue

  • i'm gonna give myself an "en vogue" makeover. i'm gonna bring the men to their knees. lol.

  • BUT EN VOGUE ARE THE GREATEST GIRL GROUP OF ALL TIME. ALL 4 CAN HANDLE LEAD & DO U HEAR THAT HARMONY? THEY R UNTOUCHABLE

  • To bad EV didn't leave a Mark WorldWide like Destiny's Child. DC will go down as the Greatest Girl Group in the History Of Music

  • @barbied0ll23 wait DC ain't the only one u forgot 2 more.......

  • @barbied0ll23

"DC will go down as the Greatest Girl Group in the History Of Music."

Umm....I seriously doubt that, "The Surpremes" will forever have that title and Beyonce said that herself. EV did make their mark worldwide, they influence or brought back the girl groups, just ask Mel B (aka Scary Spice) of the Spice Girls fame. Also, Destiny's Child will always go down in history or forever be known to the masses as "that girl group Beyonce was in."

  • Destiny's Child is the Most Successful Girl Group of All Time

  • @barbied0ll23 no they are one of...........

  • Lol. Remember casette tapes?

  • I never say the video... they all look so young and fresh. Nice video; thanks for posting.

  • Were they wearing bras? Anyway, I love this song and the concept of this vid. EV is a mult talented group, it's good they back together again. AYE!!

  • One of the most spectacular female recording artists of all time. Vocals are second to none. Maybe that's because the group was comprised of all lead singers. There's not a group today that can touch them.

  • Listen I love En Vogue and do think EV is a better GROUP than EV although i disagree that all these ladies cld outsing Beyonce. EVs members NEED each other. Kelly Beyonce and Letoy all do better on their own than they did in a group. And it is also a mark of DC's influence than on any girl groups videos you will find comments on them but you dont find EV on everyone's video comments. Like I said EV is a superior group but please stop hating on DC JUST bc they are younger.

  • @ninetiesbaby10 You say they "need" each other? Understand that w/ Destiny's Child, Beyonce stood out, primarily, because the other singers were not nearly as good (Kelly may have came close) ...Plus, today, En Vogue would not be as much appreciated, because by today's standards, they don't have the "look" (hair aint blonde enough, if you know what I'm saying) ...Beyonce can sing and hit/hold notes, but the tone can be annoying, like yodeling; whereas, EnVogue is more soulful-sexy

  • man I can't believe this was 21 years ago.....true class right here!

  • EV music is more quality classic even in 2010, DC3 music was bubble gum pop, that was for the moment! EV's "Hold On" still get's the party jumpin today!

  • Destiny's Child, could never match up to En Vogue. Someone said it best, little girls (DC), grown, classy, talent, songbirds, (EV). Plus, all four of En Vogue could sing, just barely two from Destiny's Child. I know I'm going to catch hell for this one, especially from the younger generation, but as far as singing goes, anyone of these sisters could blow Beyonce out of the water. Destiny's Child had no competition in the 00's. There was a lot of Female groups in the 90's that could blow.

  • Destiny's Child will never ever be on the same playing field as En Vogue. En Vogue is better all the way around, especially vocally.

  • @0820prettyblak ...Destiny's Child is a damn child next to En Vogue. En Vogue were grown azz women who brought raw talent and vocals to the table for all to enjoy. Hands down they were the best and classy group of femals of the 90's love them :-)

  • @carmendecor uuuummmmm maybe you misunderstood my comment. I have both CDs by En Vogue and purcahsed them when they were orginally released and not a one by Destiny's Child so you put it together and calm down. I know I said that DC will never be on the same playing field as EV, and I stand by that.

  • @0820prettyblak

    You are CORRECT. Uncomparable!

  • DESTINY'S CHILD IS DESTINY'S CHILD. EN VOGUE IS EN VOGUE.

  • I always loved and still love their music.

Me being born in the perfect time when music like this furished the late 80's

Is it me or does it feel like the 80's as been reborn?, just like in 2000.

  • MAXINE's voice is En Vogue

  • @gdj064 Max held that harmony down!

  • One of the best songs from the debut album of EnVogue. Good dance tune.

  • why are they just 3 in this video???? It's from their first album....

  • @vels619 There are 4. All of them are show at the beginning back to back at 0:07. Then the 3 that you see at 1:00 all together are Dawn, Terry, and Maxine with the head sets on and Cindy is by herself with a head set on singing lead. Their hair is all the same so I guess they look very similar but their faces tell them apart. Hope that helps!

  • I USE TO THINK THAT TERRI WAS HOLLY ROBINSON PEETE! LOL..

  • @jonippy24

Know whats funny? When my mother was younger ppl used to compare her to Terry Ellis XD

  • @jonippy24 funny u should say that cuz their bffs in real life. terri was holly's maid of honor when she married rodney peete

  • @jonippy24 Ironically, they are best friends

  • Nice track!

  • Who thinks Destiny's Child got the inspiration for their Album cover "Destiny Fulfilled" from this video clip?!

  • @twinqletwinqle i was thinking da same thing...but dat who beyonce and da girll said Inspired dem

  • @twinqletwinqle i said the same thing. they stay copying

  • lol why were they wearing call center headsets?

  • @buttaluv10 It goes with the theme in the video.

  • I still play this song like crazy!

  • @singboyy ME TOO ME TOO!!! I will always love that BRIDGE...

  • The old sound engineer bloke reminds me of my Dad.

  • THAT OLD GEEZER STILL KILLS ME! LOL!!

  • I LOVE EN VOGUE SO MANY HITS!

  • My big sister was responsable for my infatuation with them at an early age!!! I LOVE THEM!!

  • One of the best groups ever think about it everybody in this group can sing lead.

  • En Vogue is the best. destiny's crap is shit.

  • En Vogue was the best female group of the 90's..I still listen their music..that was when music was really music, when it was based on talent and not looks ..CLASSIC

  • @Teenya1 90's?! Please.....babe they are still the best!

  • @face6iny Anytime! :D

  • @Teenya1 well, looks did play a factor, but it was based on talent... and you're right. the nineties were it...

  • wow there videos are weird. but theres song are classy.

  • @Simstyle12 No you just used to looking at all the ass shaking that they have in the videos now

  • @Teenya1 yep i love videos like that. but i like old school videos too.

  • @Teenya1 speak on it!!! classy women do not have to put their business out there to be noticed.

  • Hmm...when the three are singing with the operator headphones on, it kinda looks like Destiny's Child last album cover. I wonder did they get that idea from this video...

  • En Vogue can kill Destinys Child anyday in vocals dept but even the tracks (like this) are far better. Their debut album "Born To Sing" is absolute class

  • @dicktrickslick I am an avid Destiny's Child fan, but I must say that I totally agree with you!!!!!!

  • @dicktrickslick - I agree En Vogue would kill Destinys Child in vocals because you could hear their harmonies so clearly each part....With Destinys' Childs music, despite their once 4 part harmony and then 3 part harmony, Beyoodles, yodeling stands out and it's very annoying trying to hear the other parts.

  • @dicktrickslick lol yea thats because everybody in EN Vogue could sing lol

  • @dicktrickslick Amen to that!

  • @dicktrickslick Say it again DSLICK!!! I STILL listen to this cut.....you told it...

  • @dicktrickslick u got that right

  • @dicktrickslick Definitely beat DC3 no doubt. The original line-up though had the potential to be the next EV but squandered it on silly personnel changes. I was ignorant of this EV song. I realise now how little of their debut album I know.

  • @dicktrickslick Exactly. I wouldn't have said it better.

  • @dicktrickslick THE BEST GIRL GROUP OF ALL TIME. THEY KILLED IT WITH THE HARMONY AND ALL 4 ABLE 2 REALLY, REALLY SING. THEY HAD HIT AFTER HIT WITHOUT SELLING SEX Y? BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY HAVE TALENT.

  • @lalayinise HAHA. You don't have to yell. : )

  • @silentthriller Next time I'll b more like u & b silent but thrilling. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • damn they fine !!! im in l,ove with terry ellis!!!!

  • I see a titie on 1:01 to the bottom left corner!

  • you are silly!!!

  • What year did this song come out ?

  • 1990

  • destiny's child couln't stand next to these bitches!!!!!!!!

  • Why they gotta be bitches???

  • well, im not calling them bitches, but you're right, destiny's child has nothing on them vocally.

  • Again, another creative and eye popping video from the Ladies of En Vogue...We love you Dawn, Max, Cindy and Terry.

  • * I really miss the art of the 90's music videos. They had concepts and abstract ways to present song's ideas. I wish they would try that now.

  • They all can sing but I like Dawn and Cindy the best.Cindy has a strong voice but it is like young, sounding so nice.

  • lmao!when i hear this i want to bust out doing the runningman.

  • LMAO!

  • My favorite song by my favorite girls!! YEAHHH

En Vogue til the end of time

  • I loved En Vogue's sound! But it was their stylish videos that really showed everyone they were the total package- they had the voices, the looks and the elegance!

  • i saw them on dont forget the lyrics and the lead singer here is the best one but she is not the lead really shes a back up singer but this is the only one i see her leading on

  • En Vogue had no lead singer. They all lead on different songs. Cindy also was lead on their first hit "Hold On".

  • I liked the looks of this video. Facial expressions are so impressive and effective. Wow, and their sound was so pure. I miss this group and am happy I have their earlier CD's.

  • I never thought the Jamaican lady was pretty, she just got pretty eyes.

  • Terry is gorgous to me

  • Their all cute

  • She is!

  • Who are you talking about??? There wasn't a Jamaican one in this group!!! LOL.

  • Maxine is Jamaican.

  • Oh. Well, Maxine looks better now than she did when the group first started. She grew into her looks and got her teeth fixed. She looks hella sexy now. Search "En Vogue Don't Forget the Lyrics." Even though she has gained more weight, she looks really good. A lot better than she did in this video. She also looked good in the "Riddle" video. Her body was so fit and her dark braids made her hazel eyes pop!!! I don't know why, but I always thought Max was Jamaican. LOl.

  • You can look at her and tell shes Jamaican, and she got an accent. But your right she did grow into her features, shes a gorgeous women now.

  • She has a Jersey accent though, not a Jamaican accent!!!

  • Well Im still going with my gut feeling and saying shes jamaican.

  • Maxine Jones is not Jamaican. She is from New Jersey. Everyone knows that.

  • Guess Im wrong then, but I could of sworn she was.

  • I love the way talks! I wouldn't call it Jamaican though. I wonder if she is going to go back to the braids? I love the short hair look on her

  • LMAO! Yes, she has an accent, but it definitely isn't Jamaican... Spongebob, I hope she keeps her hair short for now. I love it. I think she looks younger with short hair.

  • LOL! I know right!! I love her accent though! I agree I love that short hair look on Max! She has always had her own style and I love it!

  • terry is soooooh damn fine!!!!!!

  • And the chu'ch said AMEN!!!!! She still looks good to this day!!!LOL.

  • i haven't heard this song in a hot minute. this reminds me of ridin' to school on the bus in the morning back in 6th grade. it was a loooong-ass ride, but V103 got us thru it. there was this girl named Sherrie who used to LOVE this shit right here. good ol' times.

  • Who is the lead singer on this song?

  • Cidy Herron Braggs

  • i think the video is so cool

  • this is my fave envogue song!!! this group was the best of that era hands down. raw talent. and my fave was dawn robinson..who went on to team up with rapahael saadiq to for a group lucy perl. i know the third member was a dude with the name mahammad in it. sorry i dont remember his name. but anyway i loved dawn and if anyone could please tell me what she up to now that would be gr8!!!!

  • goergia1956...dawn has reunited with the original En Vogue and they are planning a tour and a reality show due next summer

  • I remember this on BET all the time!

  • No, This clip was made around 1991 get your facts straight

  • So excited they are reunited! I HAVE to see them in concert and can't wait for their new album to come out mid-2009.

  • this song was the jam when it came out... i love en vogue. they made women want to look

like women in the early 90's! When they went on hiatus, so did a lot of women and their looks! We used to do hair down stairs in the colliseum Mall in Jamaica Queens, all the chicks wanted the en vogue look! I wish those days would come back! Shout out to Head Hunter's Beauty Shop!

  • Saturday Night downtown Los Angeles at Little J's 1991 , Line'em up boyyyyyy !!!!! Remember dem days

  • ppl can hate on my last cmmnt thats fine with me...but when this new Ev album comes out pleases buy and dont download it...maybe our divas will continue to make music

  • agreed lol

  • lol

  • What's to hate on, What you said could be possible but knowing alot of En Vogue fans ther're gonna be downloading their latest album whenever it comes out, I got this whole album this was one of my favorites

  • no they are hating my comment that a lot of todays r&b is still pretty good...it was about a page or so ago...but i hope youre right...thier last albums didnt do welll but hopefully since the Divas are reuniting this album will sell itself

  • They are some out there, but I'm into alot of music from the UK, like Sugananes, Girls Aloud, Jamelia just to name a few and from all around the world, but like i said there are alot of good r&b artists out there, like Duffy (she's alright), Lloyd, Cherish, Alicia Keys, and a whole lot more, so there's nothing to hate about,

  • thank you thats all iwas trying to say...i also like a lot of underground rappers but the mainstream rappers suck, but yeah r&b is still going strong

  • who is duffy?

  • a british singer, who sings that one song, Mercy search for her videos

  • interesting, gonna search right now

  • oh ok, i know that song now! they always play it in retail stores.

  • funky divas!!!!!!!!love them!

  • I love these women. I'm sure for long hiatus...this CD will do very well with die hard fans!!!!

  • cindy said there's no need for doubting her yesssssssss i love them and even if they dont do well when they're album comes next year im buyin it

  • does anyone know what year this mv was released?

  • I know it was filmed in 1990 and Mark Romanek directed it.

  • See...... this is how you know is songs are built on hype or true quality and talent. You hear the quality in production 18 years later. The hype an' flap of the past 10-12 years in music is crazy. That crap plays and 3 months later NOBODY wants to hear the record. Lacking production, soul, and talent!

  • there are plenty of good songs today...in the r&b genre...i agree that rap nowadays sucks but there is plenty of good r&b.(promise,My love,Until the end of time,Love in this club,Good luck charm,Nothing in this world,Dangerously in love,Cater 2 u,Heaven Sent,Say it,Differences) those are songs(and there are plenty of others) that i can listen to and never get sick of. Music today mores credit than the older generation gives it. Just b/c ur teen years are up doesnt mean all the music is bad

  • That's you kid. And half of those songs I wouldn't even classify as R&B. Just because you are black or emulating black people doesn't mean your song is R&B.

  • and your opinion is so very highly exalted that they couldnt possibly be R&B unless you say so...how ignorant was that...the songs are played on urban radio and by default are classified as r&b...ppls opinions are biased based o when they grew up...my grandparents love 60s and 70s music but stopped listening in the 80s...well my parents were teens in the 80s and love 80s and early 90s music but hate late 90s and todays stuff...i like it all from 60-today so im no novice when it comes to music

  • and i never said black+r&b I mean thats a given as well...plenty of black artists(Hendrix,Kravitz,Prince) have made names for themsleves outside of r&b. And two of the songs on my list were by a white artist, and it the sound it has nothing to do with emulation. What would you classify as r&b since you are an expert and im the ignorant one??

  • One of my fav. songs by them!

  • ppl say there is no En Vogue w/o Dawn but i think Cindy desreves just as much credit

  • agreed!! They all deserve much credit! They are all equally important and equally talented as Dawn!

  • Shit, they ALL deserve more credit!!! Plus they sound better live without Dawn anyway. Dawn seemed to be studio only from what my ears could tell. The others could hold it down in the studio as well as live!!

  • i agree that they all desrve more spotlight but i wouldnt go a s far as to say their better w/o Dawn but hey thats mmy opinion...but the Divas could preform

  • They aren't Better without Dawn, but they sound more stirdy and together live without her.

  • oh i see wgere u said that now...i never really noticed b/c (with the exception of Whatever&You are the man)I really dont pay much attention to thier post dawn music

  • dawn is back! they performed a free concert in LA at a mall a few days ago! i think on the 6th of August 2008 my friend met them and posted pics on his myspace as proof of the 4 original girls and also wikipedia says the same! =)

  • good im so lookin foward to hearin some sweet funky ev music

  • Yeah!

  • This song never gets old. This and Hold On are my favs from them.

  • WHO'D CHEAT ON THEM?!

  • you would be surprised

  • My favorite from envogue. One of my favs from the 90's
