-In the beggining the blue force shield around mario is from pokemon leafgrrn for gameboy.

-The song is from megaMan X6 the stage whare you fight 2 giant eyes on the last level.

-The robot body is from Megaman X 3

-When Mario gets hurt, his pain scream is from Super Mario 64.

-Mario design and "star" effects are obviously ripped off from Mario Paper.

In fact, you combined Mario with MegaMan.

I have to say, this has greatly inspired me! RetroXYZ is helping me with my game and after watching your videos I might want to make the gameplay similar to Sonic's like you did with this (with a few tweaks and additions of course).
