  • Thank you for this. It was one of my late partners favourite songs

  • great tune for sure

  • Uma das melhores músicas do Eric Clapton! :)

  • For me the most memorable song of my fancy free adult life as a young man enjoying life, I am still enjoying my life with my wife now and my 5 yr old son, now I turn 44 in October,

    Thanks Eric

  • Fantástico!

  • Keyboardist is mega-gay!!!

  • Sneaky good song for a legend.

  • Eric also played guitar on Phil Collins' 1990 song "I Wish It Would Rain Down", which is my FAV Phil Collins song. "Bad Love" is my FAV Clapton song from the 80's. My all time FAV Clapton songs are "Cocaine", "Bad Love" & Tears In Heaven.

  • Highlight of 80's Clapton. He'll never match his Cream days though

  • phil collins for the win..and eric clapton is god, he even has the jesus look to match.

  • Love the song and Eric Clapton is the man, but that isn't a good look for him in this video :P

  • lo maximo

  • Yes he was, at one point he was a heroine addict, then an alcoholic.

Still Can't beat him though, legend!

  • A-men

  • Clapton is a God, that riff is unbelievable. His vocals are amazing too.

  • This is one of my fave Clapton songs and vid by far. Phil Collins put a brilliant sound on the backiing vocals too. A song to put ya in a good mood!

  • wow I didnt know Phil Colins was in this song

  • the "spinning keyboardist" is Greg Phillinganes, lol.

  • guitar riff makes it...clapton rocks this song rocks

  • I remember the first time I heard this. I was driving in my car. When he changed keys and went into the interlude, I was going crazy....then when he broke into the lead and started hopping octaves....I had to pull over. It was nutzzzz. wow.

  • Excellent.

    Crank it.

  • I play that song in a coverband. We have a gig tonight and I wanted to hear the original again for inspiration.

Then I just noticed, that phil collins played drums there, I never knew that!

  • Yes...Nathan East a Bass Guitar God!

  • Died and Gone to Heaven! Eric Clapton/Phil Collins duo! Doesn't get any Better than this...

  • And don't forget the keyboardist who spins around unneccessarily!

  • actually it can clapton n collins r gud 4 1 thing. they r always better then they was b4, get themback 2gether again n it will b way better

  • the drummer in this video wished that would rain down on him and e.c.!

  • it's a great song <3!

  • the bass player is amazing- though clapton is AWESOMEEE!!!

  • i think dave 1982ando should get a grip.mong!!!!!!

  • uh, whoever the moron was who said hendrix=clapton, clapton=hendrix is retarded, hendrix is comparable with noone and certainly has no equal.Idiotic comment you fool.

  • You have a guitar god and a drum god in the same video. It gets no better

  • That's Phil Collins on the drums; My idol!

  • hendrix = clapton, clapton = hendrix

    long live rock N' roll

  • es el mejor me encanta su musica

  • He also do some backup singin.

    Awesome tune, love it.

  • can you spot phil collins on drums?

    fantastic tune.

  • i did! never would have if you didnt say that though ;)

  • Sin duda una gran Alma,su manera de interpretar la musica de blues es solo suya ,marcando un precedente claramente reconocible en todos los guitarristas posteriores,¡CLAPTON IS GOD!

  • My favourite Clapton song.

  • Coolest man behind a Strat, the rest of us just look ridiculous even if we could play better. I speak for myself, no offense intended to those who are cooler and/or play better (yeah, right).

  • OH MY GOD NATHAN EAST! PHIL COLLINS! GREG P! This band owns!

  • @Rimes87 yeah that guy who's singing is also decent, haha

  • @GeneralUile well, his name is in the title, isn't it :P

  • 3:01 to 3:51 is magnificent.

  • phil collins in the drums..

  • uma das melhores colocações harmonicas que já ouvi

  • damn i love his way to play! little wah-wah and it's so cool!

  • Clapton and Collins, what a brilliant combo.. and what a great song for driving to!! :)

  • Actually, the bass player is Nathan East (Robert Cray did recorded a song with Clapton in "Journeyman") And yes, that's Greg Philliganes on the keyboard. I was so lucky to see this band live in my country (Uruguay) in 1989.

  • Helluva backup band on this one. Robert Cray on bass, and Phil Collins on drums.

  • The Guitar work on this song is phonomial.Heck, all Clapton's work is.Great song, this one & Layla are my 2 favorites.

  • i didn't know lionel richie played bass on this track. i thought he just played the tambalaylee and pianola?

  • is that Greg Phillinganes on keyboards ?

  • Can anyone tell me why this song is so timeless? I love this song!

  • Ham gone West, eh?

Good start for Zola = A Ford zoo - slag tort

  • That's some soulful string-bending Slowhand does in the solo.

  • o3o..i wuv dis song.. ROCK ON ERIC

  • Es increible que tan poca gente ha visto este vid, esto es historia del rock muchachos, este album marca el regreso de clapton al rock, al menos por un tiempo, gracias por subir este video.

    THanks 4 this D...

  • Love the unnecessary spin by the keyboardist @ 0:40. :)

  • hahah!

  • no way chump, that spin is 100% necessary

  • This song is FLAWLESS.

  • Hell yeah!

  • Eric Clapton on guitars and Phil Collins on drums!!!!!!

    AWESOME

  • Hes an expert at creating a catch/hook this chorus is a good example how the tempo builds up and breaks down into the instrumental. fackin genius

  • Damn what a good song

  • very good, but look at phil colins!what a complete artist!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Phil Collins is so friggin' multi-talented, it is not even funny !!

  • THIS is probably the best Eric Clapton song ever done... Superb guitar work, and fabulous lyrics.

Sad what happened after Journeyman with the death of his son, and his move into more Blues...

  • I remember these days, we had just only got him back...

  • Excellent song

  • I love this album

  • Superb is right my friend. In fact, the entire "Jouneyman" CD is superb.

  • Superb!!My fave Clapton song. The guitar solo makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up !!! Magnificent, thanks for posting.

  • This is rock's A team, Eric on guitar, Phil Collins on drums, Nathan East on bass and Greg Phillanganes on keyboards. It absolutely does not get any better than that.

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ lo maximo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dice baber , por algo los genios existen... ese es clapton ..master!!!!!!!

  • savages

  • song really speaks to me.

  • Far too much prancing

  • Greg Phillingaines is not only NOT GAY, he's married with several children and was quite the ladies man before he got married. Just because he's enthusiastic and a showmand doesn't mean he's gay.

  • I have always liked this solo

  • Stunning. No comments

  • God

  • Santana is good, he just isn't as good as Clapton

  • Lol insane combo, clapton and phil together in 1 band :p

  • Clapton is God!

  • They dont make them like this anymore and they never will again.

  • cant wait to c ya tomoro eric!!!!!!

  • I'm going to see him live in 5 Days!

    Hope he plays this.

  • So how was it, you lucky??

  • i love this song...

  • 'Clapton is God'

  • Phil Collins on drums. Now it all makes sense, I thought it sounded familiar!!

  • yess it is phil on drums, what an amazing song from Eric. Thanks Clapton...........

  • is that phil collins on drums.

  • holy crap, Eric with a mustache. Now that looks bad. lol.

  • Okay Eric...I want my heart back. NOW!! ~Tammi~

  • Nathan East on bass -- superb!!!

  • Can be superb, but Eric is the Genius.

  • Fantastic!

    ERIC ROCKS!

  • ehi! with phil collins on drums! spectacular!

  • I've got an Eric Clapton signature Stratocaster

    and it plays beautifully

  • Clapton is one of few artists who remained credible during the 1980's, whilst actually producing contemporary "80's" music. And that couldn't have been easy.

  • great song. keep on rockin' clapton.

  • My fave Clapton track ! Slowhand at his best !!

  • awesome song!

    Eric rocks :D

  • your love will keep me alive

  • creepy....

  • slowhand this is one of your greatist song

  • yes it is. i love this song by him. Journeyman is my favorite album of his. I'd say Pretending is my favorite Clapton song, but this one is second.

  • Nobody like Phil Collins on the Kit so tight and clean widh he still played drums for Clapton

  • hij is gewoon goed

  • Brilliant tune, one of Clapton's best in my humble opinion.

  • So wonderful when it comes the guitar comes in.

  • is ti me or does it seem a bit... tame?

that tune could have been done so much better :)

  • No way - when this came out I went mental it was so awesome!

  • is that phil collins xD

  • i think so, too

  • It is, he played the drums for this single

  • and i still love the song

  • duh!

    clearly i do

  • i love the riff in this awesome tune...but i don't like the lyrics or tune in the verses---lets down the amazing riff.

  • who cares

  • This song sounds like a modern day Layla. Dramatic chorus with a toned down verse section. It's a great song.

  • This is one hell of a riff.

  • Il migliore chitarrista di tutti i tempi.....grande!!!!!!

  • Clapton, Lennon, Dylan, and Hendrix are so cool they get free passes when discussing who matters.

  • Very few people can ware a stasche and not look like a tool, and Clapton isn't one of them. He usually sports a nice beard, or doesn't look bad clean shaven. Glad that was temporary look

  • Yeah, he's dangerously close to porn star territory with that 'stache.

  • Congratulations, mate, you just got me pissing my pants. The comment was spot on. The worst thing is that a friend of mine and I discussed the p0rn 'stache a few days ago,and now I just saw this... The only ones who got it better were the Beastie Boys.:)

  • Is Phil Colins on the drums?

  • Yep, that's Phil Colins. Seriously, he scares me. I kid you not, I have some kind of phobia towards Phil Colins. But otherwise this song is amazing, and so is this video.

  • why. he's an amazing singer/musician.

  • Yep that's true!.

  • you will live

  • phil collins and eric are actually good mates together .......clapton is god!

  • Actually, PC was the drummer on this single that is why he appears here. I think he also went on a tour with Eric as his drummer many many years ago. I think it was in the mid 80's

  • for me, as good as any song he's done, including Layla. have to say though, Journeyman was his last decent album. hope i'm wrong, but can't see eric hitting those heights again

  • Great vid

  • 25-50 is the most awsome piece! love the guitarr music!!

  • Anyone know when this video was made? Just curious since I've been a clapton fan for a longggg time and never heard this song, but it's rockin'

  • A looooooooooooooooong time ago ... (1989)

  • Thanks ^_~

  • dodgy 'tache but fanatstic song!!!

  • Greg's The Man!!

  • Sweet...

  • great song, I love the Clapton-solo, btw. it's Greg Phillinganes on keyboards!

  • what an unhappy love has been done

  • My all-time Clapton favorite. Very upbeat! That dude on the keyboards is really into it.

  • yes phil collins is on drums
