The policy of building up the border in highly crossed areas has pushed immigrants to even more brutal territory, and while those who cross are neither saints nor demons, the fact is that nearly 600 (and that's who is found) people a year die largely trying to feed themselves or their family- or reunite with their family. You can dehumanize them and dismiss the "tear jerking stories", but that is a dangrous mindset. You condemn, but do you listen? I've actaully spoken to a lot of those who cross
You and several Americans need to realize that the reason they are coming can also be attributed and tied to American intervention in these countries. When it comes to Mexico you need to remember the Mexican Revolution and America's role. The Mex Rev was the birth of the PRI party which basically robbed Mexico blind. America was very pro-govt. and even helped in hunting Mexican revolutionaries.
Enrique and his other racist friends forget to mention that 25 people, some citizens some not, are killed by the illegal aliens every day. Over 600 thousand felonies warrant criminal illegal aliens are on our streets daily. These tear-jerking stories are used to hide the criminal racist invasion backed by selfish people only caring of their own.
Completely dismissive of the costs, crime, and adverse effect illegal aliens all criminals have on innocent people. Hypocrites and selfish.
I have mixed views on illegal immigration but you need to recognize that Mexico is presently at war. The reason is because the US wants them to control drug trade. So Mexicans are properly justified in coming here and until America owns this problem and addresses it appropiately you are going to see more illegals.
That is true, but what do you think is going to happen in 5 or 10 years when the American economy improves (or collapses most likely improve) and Mexico is virtually bankrupt and employers flee Mexico. Those same illegals will come back in record numbers. Trust me its not a good thing they're leaving. The remittances are the only thing that sustain these countries.
Well we need to analyze the history of Latin America and America's policies towards it. It is rooted in the Monroe doctrine, Manifest Destiny, colonialism, and the "America's Backyard" way of thinking. You need to remember that places like Guatemala and El Salvador where the US govt. actually played a significant role in shaping those countries. Example democratically elected Jacobo Arbenz was ousted by the CIA in the 50s plunging that country into an almost half century civil war
These Indigenous "Native Americans" or at least the ones who are....will be suppressed by the Latinos, Hispanics, and other foreigners (Afro Africans, etc) who now occupy the Florida region....
Asides from that, I thought that Indigenous "Native Americans" weren't ILLEGALS or IMMIGRANTS....????
....I know, most of these are Mexicans or "Indigenous" people? ...WTF?
"Most undocumented people are never told about their rights and are in fact bullied into signing them away."
In America, you cant sign away human rights.
"Also the incarceration phase of those that wish to fight deportation has become big business."
Are you suggesting we Release illegals on PR, even though their offense is directly related to the flight of authorities? Judges dont release citizens if their a flight risk....
"But at the same time I can not allow for mistreatment of any migrant....chance to adjust their status is all that we ask."
Even illegals are not mistreated in this nation by the government. All immigrants are afforded the same chance to apply for citizenship. If they dont, adhere to the specific rules of their visas and let them expire, when a simple form can be sent in to renew followed by a small interview, then they are arrested and detained by ANY American who breaks the law.
"I know the numbers and the truth is that I would love for my people to not have to ever migrate out of Mexico."
Its a common dream many Americans share as well. Its not that we don't want any Hispanics here, its that the reason they are running, is right on our doorstep.
"I know about the wet-foot-dry foot law for Cubans, what I'm getting at is that it's not really fair."
Which is why its for 20,000 a year. Care to see the statistics of illegals coming from Cuba vs from Mexican border? Its about the numbers of people using this system.
"Do you sponser them before their visas expire so that they can stay? And what about the ones that you claim encounter "delays"?"
All 18 were sponsored from Mexico. They were "family of family" if you know what I mean. :)
Some of our employees are in their 40s, and lived in the US for 20 years illegally before applying for citizenship. Their work visas expired and they never tried to renew. many of them had penalties of thousands to pay and a much longer waiting period.
"braahp..If you really do work with or around migrant workers you would know that they also wish that they would not have had to risk their lives coming here."
Again, my employees are ALL legal workers. They traveled here the same way all European immigrants did. Some had work visas and worked in fields all over the US, and some were already naturalized.
The point I make is, its all business owners responsibility to verify the status of its employees. We do background checks on everyone we hire. If every business owner spent the extra $18 per employee, the government would not have to worry near as much. They know when we send out a W4, its of a verified citizen of the United States.
"The point I make is, its all business owners responsibility to verify the status of its employees."
True. And we do thorough checks on our employees too (we also own a business).
I think the only real place you and I may differ is that I don't like how the legal vs illegal issues are being handled right now. We are stuck on a liberal vs neo-con fence and no one is honoring the law or changing it based on majority vote. I think that's a huge problem.
"There are also many undocumented people who's children are actively serving in our armed forces and they're still having problems getting there status adjusted."
Its really unfortunate. My friend lacks documentation to correct his problem. So many people are lost in the system.
"Its really unfortunate. My friend lacks documentation to correct his problem. So many people are lost in the system."
he didn't get a birth certificate when he was born? Every hospital in the United States has been required to send birth records of citizens born in this nation for nearly 70 years. All he needs to know is what hospital delivered him, and take that certificate to the SS office and get a card.
What makes you think he was born in a hospital? Not everyone is you know. Especially illegals. I've known a great many citizens who weren't either. You can go through other channels to get a birth cert... if you're legal. :)
"What makes you think he was born in a hospital? Not everyone is you know. Especially illegals."
As a general rule, and to ensure their children are legal citizens in the US, illegals would prefer to have their child in a verified hospital, as hospitals are bound by federal law to serve all, no matter what the status.
No offense, but if he was not born in a hospital, and has no way of proving his citizenship, its once again the issue of his negligence , and not the governments...
"No offense, but if he was not born in a hospital, and has no way of proving his citizenship, its once again the issue of his negligence , and not the governments..."
Did you just call a newborn baby negligent for his mother not giving birth to him in a hospital. How is that his negligence? lol I'm sorry that's actually funny. What was he supposed to do, walk out of his mother and drag her by the umbilical cord to a hospital? Wow, you really are a hardliner. ;)
"Did you just call a newborn baby negligent for his mother not giving birth to him in a hospital. How is that his negligence? lol I'm sorry that's actually funny."
I know, I know, I read that after I typed it, and I chuckled myself. Mothers fault or his aside, which part of that makes it the fault of the government?
Even though you must understand, the the common ideas of illegals and federal laws that enable them to use the system, your friends problem is very, very rare.
"Even though you must understand, the the common ideas of illegals and federal laws that enable them to use the system, your friends problem is very, very rare."
Actually, its impossible to know how prevalent or rare it is. How do you get accurate numbers on something like that? Its impossible. We can have our own opinions, but can't claim to know one way or another.
"Actually, its impossible to know how prevalent or rare it is. How do you get accurate numbers on something like that?"
Thats why I did not place a number on it. I simply said it was Very, Very rare. Lets be honest here. Someone living in America, legal or not, having a child in the back room of a house or something?
The way you make it sound, its almost like his mother went out of her way to make it impossible to prove his birth. Sometime through his life they couldn't acquire birth records?
"We can have our own opinions, but can't claim to know one way or another."
common knowledge would say a child born in America from illegal immigrants, not in a hospital with no birth record of any kind, no identification and no proof where he was born would be pretty rare. Once could safely say not not a common acurance.
"There are also many undocumented people who's children are actively serving in our armed forces and they're still having problems getting there status adjusted."
While I really wish those people could have come legally (Armed forces is a great way to expedite citizenship) I dont agree they should have any delay becoming legal. They are more American than many born here....
The fact is, companies here NEED immigrant labor. All kinds. We NEED these people to come here, which is why so many are pretty much allowed to slip in if they can manage to. The US keeps up appearances of fighting it, but they're really not. Hence the minutemen.
Its bullshit. If we need them as we do, we should allow them in and give them equal rights, citizenship. Or we back up the so-called laws and deport them all and lose the backbone of so many industries. Pick one, but stop the lies.
"The fact is, companies here NEED immigrant labor. All kinds. We NEED these people to come here, which is why so many are pretty much allowed to slip in if they can manage to."
Please use the word Illegal when discussing this subject. Immigrant labor we have always opened our arms to, Illegals immigrants only hurt the work force for legals who came before them. Just because they become legal, does not mean they wont pick up a shovel and work.
The government backs and subsidizes large farms, the same large farms that employ lots of illegal immigrants... meaning that government money is going to immigrants they CLAIM not to want here. Its hypocrisy. The government knows. But they USE these people while giving themselves the opportunity to arrest them when its convenient. I'm sorry but that's dishonest and dirty. If they are going to subsidize them, they should legalize them.
"The government backs and subsidizes large farms, the same large farms that employ lots of illegal immigrants... meaning that government money is going to immigrants they CLAIM not to want here. Its hypocrisy."
Just because the Government subsidizes Farmers does not mean they condone the use of illegals. They are bound by the same laws as any small business. The blame is laid to rest of the individual farmer who employs the illegals, not the government who pays him a check each month.
"Just because the Government subsidizes Farmers does not mean they condone the use of illegals. "
Are you implying the government doesn't know that most of that is an "illegal" labor force? They know and they are using them. While they are useful, we turn a blind eye as long as we don't have to take care of them. If they become an issue, we arrest or deport them. Don't you think that's a little crooked?
"Are you implying the government doesn't know that most of that is an "illegal" labor force?"
Im sure they have an idea, but think of the hundreds of thousands of individual farms. Now multiply that by around 20-30 people working on each farm. And by your standards, its discrimination to arrest them, so what do you suppose our officials do?
The cost alone verifying the status of all those employees is enough to bitch about. Now add the added worry of racial profiling and youve tied their hands
"And by your standards, its discrimination to arrest them, so what do you suppose our officials do?"
When did I say that? I said the government needs to be consistent and practice what it preaches. Not exploit people. Either it needs to bust everyone where they know there is a problem, or they need to change the law and allow them to be legal. The gov exploiting people against their own laws is the true criminal act. Far worse than immigrants border jumping, or farmers hiring them.
"I'm saying I do think there is discrimination going on, but it isn't always based on race"
I took this to mean its wrong to arrest them in your eyes.
"I said the government needs to be consistent and practice what it preaches. Not exploit people."
Once again, how is the government no being consistent? It deports as many verified Illegals as it can. Are you suggesting they go out tomorrow and deport every single one of them, or make them legal?
"If they become an issue, we arrest or deport them. Don't you think that's a little crooked? "
No i dont. Why, because how do you catch a worker using fake SS numbers or is being hid by his boss? When they become an issue, get arrested or whatever, they are presented to a system that has numbers for all its citizens. When his number is not his own, he has been caught. He is now a known illegal alien.
"But they know. They already know. They don't do anything until it costs us something. That's exploitation."
How do they know for sure? because of people like you, its even wrong to stop and check a persons status because its considered racial profiling. The easiest way is to wait until they "become a problem" and verify status when they are arrested.
Thats the life of someone who is breaking the law. They must hide from authorities.
"its even wrong to stop and check a persons status because its considered racial profiling."
Auditing a farm is not racial profiling. Stopping every mexican on the street is. Harassing mexican americans because you think they look "illegal" is racist. And the "easiest way" is not always the most moral, ethical, or honest way. We're talking about our governing body here. They need to lead by example, not by doing things the easy way.
"Auditing a farm is not racial profiling. Stopping every mexican on the street is."
Because of federal laws passed by lawmakers and voted by the people, the government can not collect employee information aside from tax information. An audit is done by the IRS for tax reasons, and unless you send out an agent to every farm in America and ask every Mexican their legal status, the government cant verify status.
"Harassing mexican americans because you think they look "illegal" is racist. And the "easiest way" is not always the most moral, ethical, or honest way. We're talking about our governing body here. They need to lead by example, not by doing things the easy way. "
Then explain to me the way you would collect all illegals and deport them? You have already ruled out asking farmers workers their status, as I said, racial profiling.
"Then explain to me the way you would collect all illegals and deport them?"
I wouldn't. Not most. They come here to work and improve the lives and legacy of their family. Illegal labor is the backbone of California. We'd crumble without them. We need to legalize them if we need them. We also need to overhaul the process for getting into the country so it isn't so incredibly expensive and difficult. Make it easy to get a green card, and if they can hold down work, give citizenship.
"And lets not bring up a states well being off illegal immigrants when its almost bankrupt and handing out IOUs for state tax returns."
I'm with you on that one. With all the corners they cut, we're still drowning. And the latest Cali liberal outrage is that the Governor had the nerve to put a 6% luxury tax on Veterinary services for cats and dogs. No, I agree, don't even get me started.
I looked at your site, and please dont think this to personal, but your over 30 right?
Do you remember when us kids would work the fields in the summer for our school spending money? Many of us did it, and had some of the most fun of our lives. Dont you think kids today might learn something by that same job, like we all did?
"We need to legalize them if we need them. We also need to overhaul the process for getting into the country so it isn't so incredibly expensive and difficult. Make it easy to get a green card, and if they can hold down work, give citizenship."
We have many legal immigrants willing to do the same jobs illegals are getting. But they are paid less, so the people who came here legally, are counted out.
You do know that many of these people pay exporters thousands to smuggle them in right?
"Yes I do. And I think its sad that they have to. Sad that its a cheaper alternative than legal channels. That's a serious problem."
Are you you saying it costs more than $3000 to become a US citizen? I myself can verify if it is done by the law, the most that needs to be paid to become naturalized is $1000, about 6 months (After verified residence) good moral character, a test, and the Pledge.
"$1000, about 6 months (After verified residence) good moral character, a test, and the Pledge."
lol You must have read that somewhere. I know people who have DONE IT. LIVED IT. And you know what? My dad is a LEGAL alien here (via WWII) and he's tried to get his citizenship 3 times! They messed up his paperwork, lost it, all kinds of crap all 3 times! And he's lived here for around 50 years!
"lol You must have read that somewhere. I know people who have DONE IT. LIVED IT. "
Thats where my reference comes from. I own a small company here in Washington state. An office furniture moving company. many of my employees are immigrants to the United states. We have sponsored about 18 from Central America since 1999. We have heard the horror stories, and the positive ones. the horror stories tend to be delays because they came here illegally and then applied.
I have another friend from south america who was born here to illegal parents. You know he can't get his citizenship because he has no country. No where to deport him to and can't file the proper paperwork in the meantime. His only chance is to marry someone from somewhere to get a nation. Brilliant guy too. He's an excellent programmer and is a .php wizard. Its ridiculous.
Have you ever run a company? Do you know how hard it is to get an employee a work visa? We do this a lot here in Silicon Valley and its complicated and can be expensive. Our company won't do it right now. And this is for high paid tech workers. You think a farmer is going to do that for their $5/hour labor when they can just overlook some details and pay an illegal?
"Have you ever run a company? Do you know how hard it is to get an employee a work visa? We do this a lot here in Silicon Valley and its complicated and can be expensive."
Im sorry LlanaG I missed this post.
In Silicon Valley, you cant find thousands of right out of college kids eager to work for pennies? Here in Washington, there a dime a dozen. Why would you hire someone sent here to work temporarily and not the Born American Citizen across the street?
Where does the man who hires the illegals fall into your theory? What if the farmer has bad SS numbers on file? Should he know, or should the federal government invade the business practices even more by running background checks on his employees?
But yes, mexicans are not the only people deported. I am from an immigrant family, first generation american. My father is a legal alien. We were from the former yugoslavia. I know people who help others from there into this country now. They aren't criminals either. They are hard working people looking for a better life.
Note: they are white though and treated as badly as mexicans when caught. some of them die coming over too. This is not purely a "white" vs "brown" problem.
"Note: they are white though and treated as badly as mexicans when caught. some of them die coming over too. This is not purely a "white" vs "brown" problem."
Careful, your dangerously close to being labeled a racist....
"They aren't criminals either. They are hard working people looking for a better life."
Which part of the Naturalization process cant they complete?
"Careful, your dangerously close to being labeled a racist...."
Why would that be? Many immigration activists see these deportations and laws as being a racial issue. I'm saying I do think there is discrimination going on, but it isn't always based on race.
The hypocrisy needs to stop. The lies need to stop. The government needs to stop using people when its convenient.
"Why would that be? Many immigration activists see these deportations and laws as being a racial issue."
I say that because just last week I was called a racist by about 15 people for saying the exact comment you made.
" I'm saying I do think there is discrimination going on, but it isn't always based on race"
I agree, but the discrimination is based on federal and state laws. It allows the authorities to arrest people who have entered the nation under terms not legal by the government.
"The hypocrisy needs to stop. The lies need to stop. The government needs to stop using people when its convenient."
Once again, the farmers and US citizens have overwhelmingly voted out federal intervention of small businesses at least 6 times in the last 30 years. How is the the government being hypocritical?
But if we don't do nothing then there's going to be "Native Americans" everywhere on the continent we call "Americas"!....hence we need to do something!
Look what happen in India, Philippine Is., and numerous African countries....we lost them!...because the savages wanted that land back...after we instilled a system of Laws, Democracy, Civilization, and Christian values...we can let that happen here in the "AMERICAS"....right?
More-Anus....what a fucking cockroach...King of the cockroaches....Tamale boy...trying to lead his people/tenants to another apartment complex,so they can trash that one too.........Go Sherriff Arpaio!!!! Kick some ass!!!!
Great video. I wish there was 100 times more people in that room listening. And I agree with his comment about them being like the KKK. All of us immigrated from somewhere. This whole world is fenced up in the name of greed and segregation. Its disgusting.
"And I agree with his comment about them being like the KKK. All of us immigrated from somewhere. This whole world is fenced up in the name of greed and segregation. Its disgusting."
Many immigrated to this nation before the 1900s. So many that to curb the overpopulation by the (White) Irish in the early 1900s congress enacted immigration policies to limit the number of people allowed to enter. Today we still have these immigration policies, that are obviously not working.
So how exactly is it "like the KKK" to enact the same policies we used for white Irish immigrants, to Mexican immigrants? We deport illegal Russians all the time. Why is that not racist? Look at the numbers off illegals from the southern border that come every day. While I feel bad for them and the world they come from, but what is the reasons they cant come in Legally? Why so many have to swim and die to cross the border?
Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is conferred upon a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA)....
The general requirements for administrative naturalization include: * a period of continuous residence and physical presence in the United States; * residence in a particular USCIS District prior to filing; * an ability to read, write, and speak English; * a knowledge and understanding of U.S. history and government; * good moral character; * attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution; and, * favorable disposition toward the United States.
"So how exactly is it "like the KKK" to enact the same policies we used for white Irish..."
Its not just that. Its the other stuff these people spout about all immigrants being rapists and drug addicts. About Mexicans being criminals and dangerous.
That is disgusting and horribly insulting and racist... and fear mongering bullshit. They try to scare people into agreeing with them.
"Its not just that. Its the other stuff these people spout about all immigrants being rapists and drug addicts. About Mexicans being criminals and dangerous."
Its a shroud created by the ones who cannot become legal for whatever reason. The "whatever reason" becomes the question of why. The question why is replaced with hurt feelings and judgment usually after were called racist for wanting law and order for everyone. After that, the logical deduction of the worst.
I subscribe to this channel and think its excellent. As a "white girl" I am offended pretty often here by the anti-white comments... but I try to remember that its not meant for me. The white majority in this nation have earned the backlash and anger felt toward them. And they don't improve much.
It makes me wonder though, as our government becomes more racially diverse, do you really think it will get better? I'm not sure if greed and corruption has a color.
all of this is kinda worth it but think when they white people and the slaves came here and gave the indains the blankets of doom that mad bad karma. like it says do unto other the you want other to do to you (or something like that) they gave us casinos big whop anthother debt that people cant afford, but get this they love our cigs they kept them and know look lung cancer why cant it be called "Indains revange" or something. Their Rolling in their grave on this one. lmfao
Morones make good points in his speach....The minuteman are the KKK...and the aprario is a racist with a badge" what does he tells you. they just more hateful people since the civil right movement. Good video naui. and lets march for our people and for Inmigrants.
MORONES: If somebody's coming across the border without documents and the border patrol stops them, they have the right to do that. The border patrol does.
O'REILLY: Do you favor...
MORONES: The border patrol should send them back to...
O'REILLY: Do you favor detention?
MORONES: No, they should send them back to the country where they came from, not release them.

*That last sentence should read:
"then they are arrested and detained like ANY American who breaks the law. "

"I know the numbers and the truth is that I would love for my people to not have to ever migrate out of Mexico."
Its a common dream many Americans share as well. Its not that we don't want any Hispanics here, its that the reason they are running, is right on our doorstep.

Which is why its for 20,000 a year. Care to see the statistics of illegals coming from Cuba vs from Mexican border? Its about the numbers of people using this system.
braahp360 3 years ago
"Do you sponser them before their visas expire so that they can stay? And what about the ones that you claim encounter "delays"?"
All 18 were sponsored from Mexico. They were "family of family" if you know what I mean. :)
Some of our employees are in their 40s, and lived in the US for 20 years illegally before applying for citizenship. Their work visas expired and they never tried to renew. many of them had penalties of thousands to pay and a much longer waiting period.

Yes, its called the "wet foot-dry foot" law. Its also limited to 20,000 Cubans a year.

"braahp..If you really do work with or around migrant workers you would know that they also wish that they would not have had to risk their lives coming here."
Again, my employees are ALL legal workers. They traveled here the same way all European immigrants did. Some had work visas and worked in fields all over the US, and some were already naturalized.
braahp360 3 years ago
The point I make is, its all business owners responsibility to verify the status of its employees. We do background checks on everyone we hire. If every business owner spent the extra $18 per employee, the government would not have to worry near as much. They know when we send out a W4, its of a verified citizen of the United States.
braahp360 3 years ago
"The point I make is, its all business owners responsibility to verify the status of its employees."
True. And we do thorough checks on our employees too (we also own a business).
I think the only real place you and I may differ is that I don't like how the legal vs illegal issues are being handled right now. We are stuck on a liberal vs neo-con fence and no one is honoring the law or changing it based on majority vote. I think that's a huge problem.

he didn't get a birth certificate when he was born? Every hospital in the United States has been required to send birth records of citizens born in this nation for nearly 70 years. All he needs to know is what hospital delivered him, and take that certificate to the SS office and get a card.
braahp360 3 years ago
What makes you think he was born in a hospital? Not everyone is you know. Especially illegals. I've known a great many citizens who weren't either. You can go through other channels to get a birth cert... if you're legal. :)
LlanaG 3 years ago
"What makes you think he was born in a hospital? Not everyone is you know. Especially illegals."
As a general rule, and to ensure their children are legal citizens in the US, illegals would prefer to have their child in a verified hospital, as hospitals are bound by federal law to serve all, no matter what the status.
No offense, but if he was not born in a hospital, and has no way of proving his citizenship, its once again the issue of his negligence , and not the governments...

Did you just call a newborn baby negligent for his mother not giving birth to him in a hospital. How is that his negligence? lol I'm sorry that's actually funny. What was he supposed to do, walk out of his mother and drag her by the umbilical cord to a hospital? Wow, you really are a hardliner. ;)

Sometime through his life they couldn't acquire birth records?
braahp360 3 years ago
"We can have our own opinions, but can't claim to know one way or another."
common knowledge would say a child born in America from illegal immigrants, not in a hospital with no birth record of any kind, no identification and no proof where he was born would be pretty rare. Once could safely say not not a common acurance.

The blame is laid to rest of the individual farmer who employs the illegals, not the government who pays him a check each month.
braahp360 3 years ago
"Just because the Government subsidizes Farmers does not mean they condone the use of illegals. "
Are you implying the government doesn't know that most of that is an "illegal" labor force? They know and they are using them. While they are useful, we turn a blind eye as long as we don't have to take care of them. If they become an issue, we arrest or deport them. Don't you think that's a little crooked?
LlanaG 3 years ago
"Are you implying the government doesn't know that most of that is an "illegal" labor force?"
Im sure they have an idea, but think of the hundreds of thousands of individual farms. Now multiply that by around 20-30 people working on each farm. And by your standards, its discrimination to arrest them, so what do you suppose our officials do?
The cost alone verifying the status of all those employees is enough to bitch about. Now add the added worry of racial profiling and youve tied their hands
braahp360 3 years ago
"And by your standards, its discrimination to arrest them, so what do you suppose our officials do?"
When did I say that? I said the government needs to be consistent and practice what it preaches. Not exploit people. Either it needs to bust everyone where they know there is a problem, or they need to change the law and allow them to be legal. The gov exploiting people against their own laws is the true criminal act. Far worse than immigrants border jumping, or farmers hiring them.
LlanaG 3 years ago
"I'm saying I do think there is discrimination going on, but it isn't always based on race"
I took this to mean its wrong to arrest them in your eyes.
"I said the government needs to be consistent and practice what it preaches. Not exploit people."
Once again, how is the government no being consistent? It deports as many verified Illegals as it can. Are you suggesting they go out tomorrow and deport every single one of them, or make them legal?
braahp360 3 years ago
"If they become an issue, we arrest or deport them. Don't you think that's a little crooked? "
No i dont. Why, because how do you catch a worker using fake SS numbers or is being hid by his boss? When they become an issue, get arrested or whatever, they are presented to a system that has numbers for all its citizens. When his number is not his own, he has been caught. He is now a known illegal alien.
braahp360 3 years ago
But they know. They already know. They don't do anything until it costs us something. That's exploitation.
LlanaG 3 years ago
"But they know. They already know. They don't do anything until it costs us something. That's exploitation."
How do they know for sure? because of people like you, its even wrong to stop and check a persons status because its considered racial profiling. The easiest way is to wait until they "become a problem" and verify status when they are arrested.
Thats the life of someone who is breaking the law. They must hide from authorities.
braahp360 3 years ago
"its even wrong to stop and check a persons status because its considered racial profiling."
Auditing a farm is not racial profiling. Stopping every mexican on the street is. Harassing mexican americans because you think they look "illegal" is racist. And the "easiest way" is not always the most moral, ethical, or honest way. We're talking about our governing body here. They need to lead by example, not by doing things the easy way.
LlanaG 3 years ago
"Auditing a farm is not racial profiling. Stopping every mexican on the street is."
Because of federal laws passed by lawmakers and voted by the people, the government can not collect employee information aside from tax information. An audit is done by the IRS for tax reasons, and unless you send out an agent to every farm in America and ask every Mexican their legal status, the government cant verify status.

Then explain to me the way you would collect all illegals and deport them? You have already ruled out asking farmers workers their status, as I said, racial profiling.

I wouldn't. Not most. They come here to work and improve the lives and legacy of their family. Illegal labor is the backbone of California. We'd crumble without them. Many immigrated to this nation before the 1900s. So many that to curb the overpopulation by the (White) Irish in the early 1900s congress enacted immigration policies to limit the number of people allowed to enter. Today we still have these immigration policies, that are obviously not working.

* has committed and been convicted of any controlled substance law, except for a single offense of simple possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana
