I'm with Gary on this. Islamic faith and British culture are simply incompatible. There are 2nd even 3rd generation British citizens of indian origin living in this country and they still refuse to integrate into society forming their exclusive 'ethnic bubbles'.

The drugs trade is alot more complicated than that. Growers are the small guys. There are far more influences involved. Besides, if those Muslims were following Islamic guidance, they wouldn't be involved in the drugs trade at all. It's alcohol that causes far more financial and social burdens on British society, and as you know, Islam prohibits alcohol.

These are laws to protect people from incitement of racial hatred, not to stop anyone criticising Islam or anything/one else. The BNP doesn't just criticise Islam; it demonises religious and racial minorities through deliberate misrepresentation, with the aim of stirring up tensions within communities. Fascism is not inevitable. The problem is that mainstream parties are not addressing issues like housing shortages, unemployment, the EU, immigration etc. leaving a void for the BNP to exploit.

Jonathan, for the record I would also condemn any Muslims who would hold up signs saying anything like 'death to those who oppose Islam', and the alleged 'God bless Hitler' sign was in Pakistan not the UK. Those Muslims are not representative of the majority, just like the BNP are a tiny minority of all British people. Effective laws forbidding incitement of racial hatred would work both ways.

There's no "information" to "chew on". It's an out of date nostalgic image of white Britons in the 1950s, compared to an intentionally negative and provocative image of non-white Muslims. Totally legitimate question to Londoners. Thankfully I don't live there but when tuning into the BBC news I am struck by the lack of white kids on any schools reports. It looks to me that the non whites are taking over. The Indians and Chinese seem to go abot their daily business but the Pakistani's and muslims are never out of the news. Questions need to be asked and the BNP are the only ones prepared to ask them.

There's no "legitimate question" in a comparison between an outdated image of one ethnic group shown in a positive light, against a negative image of a different ethnic group.
