obviously you use numbers in tabs.

the numbers indicate the frets you are supposed to press.

the lines the numbers are on indicate the strings.

the highest line on the bar represents the HIGH E or the highest tuned string.

symbols or letters have meanings

e.g. / \ - slide

h- hammer

p - pull

s- slide

in te 1st string or the high e, basically the thinnest one and te one with the highest tune.

the numbers indicate the FRETS you need to press.

0-open string. means you dont have to press anything....

you will use plucking for this..
