These were built in numbers in the 1930s-50s, and are even made today. This one isn't one-of-a-kind, there were many models and sizes made by Decap of Antwerp. This is a 121-keyless, of the "Forum" model. The drums and accordions really play, accordions opening/closing and keying. The saxes at bottom left and right are fake - the keys move, but they have sax organ pipes behind them. These play cardboard book music, much like paper roll (player piano) music. There are also more pipes inside.
Can you get a closer shot of the workings? I like to see more of the close ups and the details of the instruments being animated... Its would be nice to view this! Also, where is the location of the building that houses this incredible automated orchestra? And how many years did it take to build this huge thing?
