RUSSEL T DAVIS GET IT IN YOUR HEAD THAT LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE FED UP OF YOUR REPEATS OF CHARACTERS LIKE THE OOD AND CONSTANT TRIPS TO LONDON. I don;t mean to be rude but apart from the odd episode its beginning to be very repetitive, for example, the series always invovling modern earth, london ana the whole world coming to an end, some of the old ones were much much better.

It's just a guess, but I think that the return of the Ood signals the resurrection of the Beast/ something similar, e.g. another evil spirit such as... The Mara perhaps? ...Or maybe an entirely new demonic baddy? The Ood definetely have potential, that much is certain.

Great to see these guys return! We need a decent recurring monster from the new series' (emphasis on decent - I for one choose to block out all memory of the slitheen). Personally, I'd also like to see the Weeping Angels some time in the future - Steven Moffat is a genius.

SnakeOnAPlane, that is a very interesting theory. It could be right, as I doubt that the Beast will infect the Ood a second time if there are more suitable candidates to do so.

Maybe the Ood are merely a first wave for the invasion. The second wave will arrive when Rose upgrades a Void Refractor (the things that Parallel Torchwood used to enter this universe), causing the race that The Beast belonged to (the Nephilim) to invade Earth. The Doctor is then forced to make a deal with another evil, in order to survive.
