  • Fast, shifty, good vision, powerfull for size and heart! Kid attacks and is all out every play.

  • damn he was running all over us at 4:07 , C'MON BLUE BISON

  • It will take 3 seconds before he figures out he is playing against a big time team!

  • It takes 3 minutes and 22 seconds for someone to stop Jordan Canzeri. Good luck Oklahoma

  • favrite play at 6:13 he like runs in air rofl

  • this is the best highlight vidio ive ever seen amaxeing quality plus the fact that he is amazeing makes it even kooler he comes from my section and was sick to watch hope he goes pro

  • RB and WR are my fav pos to play haha too bad my school only runs xD but eh it's w/e i like ... i love being a RB

  • BLESS THE LORD! BLESS THE LORD!!! This kid is gonna be a big thing in college football. Just wait. Go Hawkeyes!!!

  • Canzeri's better form, speed and vision. Coker and McCall just have more size.

  • Flash Jordan

  • whos better canzeri or mcCall...?

  • 2 different type backs. McCall is a power back with good speed. Canzeri is very quick who will explode through the gap before the defense gets a read on him. Great combination for Iowa.

  • @566350 I agree they are totally differnt style backs. McCall is a big Brusier at 220 pounds with power for short yardage, and very good speed in the open field. Physical Speciman! Canzeri is super quick through the hole with great excelleration, and big time speed in the open field, but is smaller at 185 Pounds. McCall is a consistant 4 yard back and Canzeri is a Home run threat. Mccall is a typical Iowa back much like Coker, and Canzeri is much more like former Iowa RB Freddie Russell.

  • i ran against dis kid nd shatiek lewis in track..no way in hell culd i catch em

  • Explodes through the holes and around the corners!!

  • Hope your ready Canzeri, Iowa needs you to spell Coker right away

  • Hope your ready Canzeri, Iowa needs you to spell Coker right away

  • HOLY SHIT 7:20 look at the guy get the lights knocked outta him!

  • Jordan is now is Iowa City. :)

  • @Chaeking28 Jordan didnt graduate until June 27th because NY schools end later then other states. That was the day the other recruits came home from Iowa for a week so Jordan will join them when they all return on the10th.

  • Is Jordan in Iowa City yet?

  • @chaeking28 July 10th

  • @footballrecruit1

That seems kinda late is there a reason for that date? I thought most people went right after graduation.

  • Besides Jordan....everyone else looks like they are moving in slow motion.

  • Jordan ran a 10.6 100m to win Sec. 2 Big Ten Championships today.

  • @TYTY51492

The difference is that Chris Johnson ran a 4.28 laser time while Canzeri ran a 4.4 laser time so yes you are correct in that a elite NFL running back is faster than a 17 year old kid who has spent absolutely 0% time in a college training program. Im not saying Canzeri will get into that 4.2-4.3 range in the 40 but give him 4 or 5 years with Coach Doyle and Coach Erb at Iowa and he will be a Beast and could possibly get into that range.

  • @footballrecruit1 stop it. hes reallly good, amazingly fast, but 4.2 is unreal. deion sanders speed. i could easily see something like a 4.35, but 4.2 is getting carried away

  • .....Coker, Canzeri,Robinson, Rodney Coe, and McCall man this gonna be a good season.....Go hawks!!!!!!!!!

  • @566350 well robinson actually won't be in there and neither will Coe sadly. Hopefully we'll see Coe in a couple years after JUCO. BUT, it will be Coker, Johnson, Canzeri, and McCall in no particular order (except obviously Coker is the number one back).

  • Holy shit. This guy will be a gamebreaker when he gets to D1. I imagine we will see him on Sportscenter soon.

  • at the time 5:40 number 55 is a pussy i would of smacked his shit.

  • @frutypebbles24 I know, he looked like a big dude! LOL but hit like a little girl.

  • Troy High Football All Day

  • Footballrecruit1 I heard that he attended the Iowa Spring game do you have any idea about what he thought about that i know it was cold but did he still enjoy it?

  • @chaeking28 He had a good time and feels good about the situation. Coach OKeefe said they plan on playing him right away on special teams. They can't leave speed like that sit on the sideline. He's 185lbs with a 195lb target weight. Coach Ferentz assigned him #33.

  • @footballrecruit1 That is good i became really nervous when he first committed to Villanova. I am very happy to hear that he will be able to come in immediately and make an impact. Hopefully he can even get some touchdowns next season due to the return game it has been a while since Iowa had a return man who could be a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

  • @footballrecruit1 I have a couple more questions i know he was a running threat, but what about the finer points how is he. For him to be a RB at iowa he will NEED to be able to block during blitz pick-up and how many fumbles did he have in his season because he wont see the field very often if he will cough up the ball. and again i am very excited to see him on the field at Iowa i will be looking for that #33 all season.

  • @chaeking28 I believe 1 fumble. Check out Shatiek Lewis highlight vid, it may show some of Jordan's blocking. Shatiek is another Troy RB who's attending Milford Prep and will be a D1 recruit for 2012.

  • @footballrecruit1 Milford Prep is that Milford Academy in Milford CT? Because that is where Shonn Greene went to become eligible before he came back to Iowa and everyone knows how that turned out with him winning the Doak Walker in 2008 and he is currently playing for the Jets. Hopefully Jordan can have somewhere to the same level of success!

  • @chaeking28 Lewis is going to Milford in NY, he should be a D1 recruit next season.

  • If he is really up to 200 lbs by the time the season starts he might not get redshirted. Jordan could be an immediated impact player in the return game, if he gets better at catching the kicks from the air instead of letting them bounce. Plus, you never know if he doesnt get the RS then he could even get some snaps at RB.

  • He was worried about his size, Ferentz said of Canzeri. We blew that one on Danny Woodhead, 177 pounds when he went to Chadron State and did not want to blow it again.Woodhead ran for 7,871 yards at Chadron State and played in 14 games with the Patriots this season with 97 carries for 547 yards (5.6 average) and five rushing touchdowns.

  • @klevon308 Jordan's 185lbs and hoping to be 190+ when he reports in July. This could get him to the 195-200lb mark by season.

  • @footballrecruit1 I've actually gotten an update from a coach in the NY area that has gotten close to Canzeri and he's said the same thing. Talked about his forty is like 4.37 right now and he is gaining weight as well. I'm extremely excited about this kid as a change of pace back and possible an immediate impact player on special teams and a KR and possibly a PR. We just don't have that many guys who run a 4.3 and he's extremely quick and agile. Can't stop watching his vids! Great Athlete!

  • His vision, power, speed, and stamina is just incredible...he's going places

  • @darionalexander1231 He was offered by several D1 schools from big east and big ten. He picked the Iowa Hawkeyes big 10 program.

    Thanks

  • 1:29-1:50 is the sickest return ever

  • Now 185lbs and 4.34 40 time

  • Kid finds the hole and explodes up field. Way under rated. I put him in the top 10 in the country.

  • Reminds me of Fred Russell!

  • @lylhawk much faster than Russell

  • lol jordan aint white

  • That white boy is fast as hell !!!

  • @footballrecruit1 He's absolutely amazing...I was in his heat, I got third, he got first overall

  • haha I may have to race him tomorrow at my track championship, I can't wait.

  • I have been watching 2011 highlights and he is the only one I have seen break for 30+ yards on almost every carry on the reel. the speed is needed. I hope he can put his head down and and run through a large big 10 d-line. because there won't always be a gapping hole. if not. teams will learn to cover their zones properly. a zig zag approach won't work. and there will be some tackles for huge losses. I think ferentz and the hawkeye way will teach this kid some disipline

  • @gingersmalls I think his ability to see and explode through the gaps is what sets him apart from most. Towards the end of the vid he has some more power runs.

  • Congrats on a great senior season Jordan! Looking forward to cheering you on as a hawkeye the next couple of years.

  • Bottom-line here is that Hawkeye Nation has an explosive playmaker... will it continue at the next level? I think if Jordan works hard and takes this situation seriously than we could all see the next Timmy-D or who knows... his own legacy! Something more stellar, something that we all haven't seen before!!!

  • This kid reminds me alot of how Tim Dwight ran. Not a bad guy to be similar to.

  • I am an Iowa fan and i have to watch this video everyday because i am so excited as to what JC could do as a hawkeye.

    Go Hawks!

  • I just want to know how many ankles got broken at the 1:30 mark? I counted at least 4 pair.

  • Welcome to the Hawkeyes Jordan!

  • 2:04- nice speed off the stop and go...damn!

  • MY BOY JORDAN REPPPIN TROY HIGH ALL DAY 518 best back we ever seen in troy high history hopefully IOWWA got plans for him

  • This guy is literally so fast he just make defenders look stupid.

  • Hey Jordan! Welcome to Iowa. I've really enjoyed watching these highlights. Those were some amazing moves on the punt return (1:30 mark) and I look forward to seeing them on Saturdays inside Kinnick Stadium!

  • Fantastic news. Welcome to Iowa.

  • Welcome to Iowa man! Excited to have ya!

  • welcome to Iowa Jordan, very exciting news

    Chad

  • welcome to Iowa! I see shades of Tim Dwight!

  • This young man is a stud and it shocks me that he is only rated as a 2-star recruit. Iowa got a committ today from a Rb/Db from Texas that is athletic, but looks like an athlete playing running back...this kid is clealry a Rber that is quite an athlete, very shifty and very good visison and runs low to the ground. And yes Iowa has like 31 kids in the NFL and something like 16 of them are 2-star/walk-ons.

    Come to Iowa Jordan.

    Chad

  • @cmhawks99 He committed to Iowa tonight!

  • Hope he comes to Iowa! This guy has balance and speed, and knows how to make defense commit.

  • COME TO INDIANA WE NEED A QUICK RB AND YOU ARE A STUD!!!!!

  • Come to Uconn!

  • Jordan,

What a great season you had!! You would look great in black and gold. Keep up the good work!

  • Iowa needs to offer this kid with the coaches abilities to turn 2* guys in to NFL picks he would definitly get a shot. He would be a great with Coker and Coe as kind of a Thunder and Lightning combo. He could also be a great player at CB or S and before anyone says he is too small to play safety, he is about the same size as BOB SANDERS when he came to Iowa and we all know how that worked out. He could reach his full potential at Iowa with the coaching staff.

Go Hawkeyes!! Offer this kid now!

  • I really hope Iowa offers with how many low rated guys they have put in the NFL he could definetly get a shot. He looks like he could be a great RB to go with Coker and Coe as a kind of thunder and lighting or he could do something at the CB or S position and before anyone says he is too small to play safety Bob Sanders was about the same size as this kid before he came to Iowa and look at how that turned out.

Go Hawkeyes!! offer this kid right NOW

  • Jordan is an unreal talent. Power + Speed =JC. Go Hawkeyes!

  • Wow, great vids, the defensive one is good also.

    Hope the Hawkeyes offer.

  • VERY talented, amazing bursts of speed. Great defensive HL's as well. Easy to see why he was voted MVP of so many combines in the Ohio Valley and beyond. With his ability, a stellar senior year and recent offers, he should be rated higher. Rivals gave him 2 stars after his JR year. Scout JUST rated him last week. Seems a re-evaluation is in order here.

  • Come to Iowa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really hope you join the Iowa Hawkeye family. With your talent and Iowa's teachers you will be drafted for sure.

  • Iowa is looking at him right now and he might take a visit there soon. I'm impressed by his highlights tho. Looks like a great athlete. What is the competition level like?

  • This is NYS highest level. The defensive backs in for New Rochelle at the 40 second mark run 4.4 40's

  • @footballrecruit1 Well he sounds like a real winner. We passed on Donald Brown when he was coming out of high school and that was obviously a mistake. This kid kinda reminds me of him, hopefully we don't pass on him. Remound Wright is supposedly visiting Iowa this next weekend (commit to Stanford right now). If we don't get him I would not be disappointed at all to get this guy. Looks like a tremendously underrated back and someone who could excel at Iowa IMO.

  • @footballrecruit1

    Jordan runs away from everybody.

  • @redrox15 I'm a HS Football writer in the New York Metro area. I've seen football in New Jersey, PA, NY, and CT for the last 15 years. He is the best running back in New York since Ray Rice. He is the total package when it comes to what type of kid he is and how he makes his team around him better. His will is very strong. This video doesn't even show off the power he has for a smaller back. He's impressive.

  • @Section1Guy - Hey, you wouldn't happen to be gamblnman or something on rivals would ya? There is another guy who coaches down that way and seems to be really high on Canzeri as well. Well he did end up coming to Iowa this weekend and Wright didn't so I'm hoping he decides to come to Iowa.

  • @redrox15 No, I'm not, but I do know who he is. He's from Nyack. He has done an incredible job helping Canzeri out, along with others from our area. It's tough for New York kids to get the looks they deserve. We're not a hotbed but the kids that do end recruited turn into big time players. I hope Jordan does what's best for him. If that's Iowa, it would be a great move for New York's HS football scene.

  • @Section1Guy IC....Ya whoever he is he really gave us alot of inside info on Jordan's decision process & why he picked Iowa. I'm really excited to see what he can do. He's a little outside of the mold of typical RB that we go after. Usually we get the big powerful 210 pound plus type of backs but I'm excited to have a guy that will give us a change of pace. He reminds me a little of Fred Russel who had a fantastic career at Iowa. I'm really happy he's coming & I look foward to watching him

  • amazing! we will miss jordan juking up and down the field next year at troy. we will have to go enjoy a college game next season wherever he lands. thank you zelda and luke!

  • @EMVadney02 LOL

  • Damn this boy is frickin fast!!!!!
